Default check engine light

I had the check engine light come on today at 15001 miles. It was off at 15000, I parked it for about 10 minutes and then at 15001 I see the light is on. Any idea's from anyone? It's running just fine otherwise.

just take it by autozone or advance and have them check the code, it's free and if it has to go in the shop then it'll just give you a little info so you'll know if they are full of crap or not.

I went to my local mechanic and he put it on his reader and it shows a p20a2 code. It said the description was unavailable. It had a couple of previous codes too, IDLE AIR CONTROL SYSTEM.
Anyone have any idea what the P20A2 code is?
He cleared the code and it hasn't came back so far.

Thanks

Did it appear after you recently added gas? You might want to check your gas cap and tighten. It happened to me a while back and all I had to do was reseat the cap.

i just looked through the codes on the repair manual and didn't find that code either, is your crossfire still under warranty, if not I'd try and find a independent merc. mech. to take a look at it.

That code is difficult to understand; "P" means powertrain, 2nd digit means "O" generic or "1" manufacturer specific.....there is no P2 code in my reader...

I found this lookup for the listed code. It seems that the CSO is a reference to the Cylinder Shutoff Valve, which is activated to help save fuel "in certain cruise modes."

CODE: P20A2 = An inlet valve of a cylinder is not operated although the CSO is switched off

Source for Code Look up LINK
It would seem, if your sensor is correct, that one of your intake valves is not functioning correctly despite the fact that the computer has not told the CSO to disable that valve.

Here's explanation of the CSO from SnapON's diagnostic manual.
