Yeah this car is so tight and nimble that I've gone over the speed limit more times and by more mph in the 5 days I've owned it than in the 3 years with my mustang gt. This car just begs to be given freedom. Its almost painful to drive normal just knowing what it can do...

Not necessarily 5 over. I didn't want to actually say it due to being criticized for being young and driving fast, but.... I live on a slightly rural road where the speed limit is 35. Driving home the other day, 65 was the speed I was going. I know it sounds crazy but it is SO hard for me to tame it and drive the speed limit, especially me being a new driver. It drives me insane, like the guy above me. I feel bad about it, though, due to the gas... I dunno... lol.

Hey Mutt this is Jeff (seriously) you are probably too young to remember Mutt & Jeff. Anyway, I disagree with your analysis. Abraham Lincoln had a riddle he used to tell. "If you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have? " The answer was four because calling a tail a leg doesn't make it one. Putting Chysler badges on a car that is intrinsically a Mercedes only makes it a Chrysler on the paperwork.

Okay, you're too young to be driving fast.

Seriously. Unless your first name is Marco and your grandfather hawks Corvette exhausts with an accent, get some more seat time in before you shread that babe-getting sheetmetal on a mailbox because you early-apexed a left turn.

Words to live by; always assume the other guy will do the stupidest thing possible and HAVE A WAY OUT!

No doubt !! I've noticed a major increase in "nose-gaiters" since I got my SRT. Now if I could just do something about those slow movers in the left lane.

Speaking of the warp speed button, do you guys recommend doing the throttle and tranny reset when you acquire a new SRT and drive it hard to up it's learning mode to a more aggresive driving style ?

The 55 to 95 interval is amazing! The SRT passes the slowpokes on two lane roads with way too much enthusiasm. My wife passed me like that once, and the sound of that supercharger at full song really put a smile on my face. I now consider passing to be an act of benevolence, just trying to spread a little cheer.

I don't get it. What's actually happening when this button under the gas pedal is being pushed in? The way I see it when the car senses hard throttle it simply put's the transimission in race mode. Nothing mysterious about that... am I wrong here?

No,No,No! It triggers the angel of speed which descends from a parallel world, lands on our roofs and flaps
its wings at a supersonic rate, thus propelling our cars to greater speeds. I thought everyone knew that.

I thought this whole thread was a joke??

This is for real? I mash the pedal and then a magic button appears and I go faster?

Only if you have an SRT6. You should feel it click when you mash the pedal to the floor. Be sure you have a good straight stretch of road in front of you when doing this!!

I believe in an earlier thread, this was officially named the "OMG" button.

NA's don't have it. I have been salivating for an SRT ever since I heard about it.

Enjoy it guys.
