Here's some Very Interesting Background Info on another 2006 SSB SRT6 Roadster in the US:
"Bill,
The build sheet has the car being ordered for the Marketing/PR department at Chrysler Headquarters. The VIP sheet from the Chrysler Dealer indicates it was assigned to an individual named Carrie McElwee at Chrysler. An Internet search uncovered that Carrie McElwee is Public Relations Manager for Chrysler Corporation...here in Auburn Hills. She still is. I was able to obtain her e-mail and contacted her to find out more about what the car was used for at Chrysler. I was surprised she responded. She told me that the car was made available for photos...display and for magazine editors to drive and (hopefully) write articles about. It was used for PR purposes.
I thought it was an interesting background...
Regards,
Cliff"

Re: Ellusive 2006 SRT-6's
FTR - Within the last week, I purchased a 2006 SRT6 at auction with 842 miles on it. It's a blue coupe with a VIN#64177 and the born-on date (MDH) is 092907. It appears to be one of the last 06 SRT6s built for the US market. The auction docs stated that it's "in-service date" was 12/07/06 and that it was a Corporate vehicle. The car has the US markings with SRT6 logo in the rear and no fender badges.
Is there a running tally of how many 06 SRT6s with VIN# have been identified as a result of this website?
In addition, does anyone know how many non-US models were built in 2006 or 07/08 for that matter?
I had no idea of the potential rarity and intended to just use it as a daily driver, but now I may have to turn it into my weekend getaway car and get the mothballs ready. I believe these cars though perhaps currently undervalued will only gain appreciation with time.....like a fine (rare) wine. In the meantime, it's definately a blast to drive!!! Cheers......

Hi Silverfox,
here it is. The facts, which you want to know about my SRT-6.
Do you already know which Car is the really last one by Karmann vs. AMG (for the SRT-6)?
What kind of pics are you interested in? Let me know and you get some of it.

However, at the rear you do have the Chrysler moniker, which seems absent from US spec models. Not sure about the difference in the Aero Blue. May just be down to photshop enhancement.
Headlights are also different as they have an electronically adjustable levelling device. This is pretty useless as it hardly varies the beam height at all but it does mean there is no manual adjuster on the headlight assembly for height.
There is also no cut off switch for the passenger airbag. In US models this is beside the ashtray. There was no free luggage deal for the UK on new purchases. I think those are all the differences...oh wait, I forgot one. The steering wheel is on the wrong side.

i have a 05 SRT Roaster which has electronic beam adjustment and no air bag cut off switch and i have just been down to the car park and checked and my steering wheel is on the wrong side too - does this mean my car is really a 06 build?

Thanks for the info.
Please take a good pic of the Build Plate/Sticker on your SRT6 & post it here, the #'s will tell the Story.

for me it seems, that you own one for the European market, because the electronic beam adjustment is only a duty in old Europe (for sure in Germany). And the German's don't know the beside airbag switch off button.
So I think your SRT-6 is a European / German version.
That's right, isn't it?
But as SilverFox did say, the answer is contained on the sticker!
