Ellusive 2006 SRT-6's
Re: Ellusive 2006 SRT-6's
And there is your answer right there - 3k miles does not = new , your vehicle is considered used here in NZ with those miles and most likely elsewhere in the world. Here in NZ if a Chrysler has more than 50km ( 30 mile on the clock ) Chrysler NZ no longer considers it new and the negotiations begin.

Re: Ellusive 2006 SRT-6's
So what are you all sayng. I hope you don't think "dealer cost" is anywhere within THOUSANDS!!! of $$$ of $27k That was my point. He probably paid at least$ $15k more than I did for a car with a few less months worth of miles on a later build date, which may or may not make it 2006.
Re: Ellusive 2006 SRT-6's
Not really implying anything , just how it works here in NZ.
It really is irelevant as long as the vehicle is a good example and YOU are happy with your decision.
BTW: Just got back from a Hot Rod and Street Machine show - the Crossfire gets A LOT of attention. People are starting to take note about these non too common vehicles

The car at Roanoke Motors in Illinois is still available - 19 miles - $34,996 - talk to Opie if anyone is interested.
Bad part about this car is that the in-service date for some reason is 12-20-05!
But, serial number and Chrysler paperwork support the fact that it is an 06!

Black, Convertable ok but "06" not anymore collectable than any re-papered unsold car. There ARE NO 06 SRT's. Thats is plain and simple. It was an unsold and re instated 05 that Chrysler chose to bring back for 1 year at first and now continuing through 08. If buying an 08 read the door panel!

That's '06 and, last time I looked, it was a SRT-6 Coupe.
Do you mean there were no 06/07/08 model revisions?

According to the VIN they provided it IS a 2006 model year car. You can tell the year of the vehicle by checking the 10th digit on your VIN...............which is "6" in this case. Just because the car may have been built in 2005 doesn't mean it's a 2005. There are 2009 model cars out on the market rite now in 2008. Usually most cars built on or around September of any given year will be sold as a next year model...........and some "special" cars built as early as February/March have been sold as next year models.

Headlights are also different as they have an electronically adjustable levelling device. This is pretty useless as it hardly varies the beam height at all but it does mean there is no manual adjuster on the headlight assembly for height.
There is also no cut off switch for the passenger airbag. In US models this is beside the ashtray. There was no free luggage deal for the UK on new purchases. I think those are all the differences...oh wait, I forgot one. The steering wheel is on the wrong side.
