My car will fall on it's face anytime that button is engauged and it will stay like that no matter how long I have it floored for.
Also, My check engine light comes on all the time when I'm doing this, and I know it has to be from the air intake temp sensor. That is why I think it is the supercharger clutch. It has to be something that is causing the air intake temperature to get very hot and set off that sensor.
I have a feeling I might have 2 seperate problems. The kickdown switch button might not have anything to do with the supercharger not working.
Either way, it's going to the dealer tomorrow, and I'm not taking it back until it's fixed.
Re: Replaced IC pump, car still sluggish!?!
Maybe it's just a bad air intake temp sensor. It does keep the supercharger from kicking in when the temp rises. I need my pump replaced, but I not sure if I want to try to convince the dealer it needs a new one and have it replaced with another oem piece of junk or just do it myself and replace it with the Johnson CM30 pump.

I don't thick my CEL was on either but this may just be triggered from the lack of engine output.
The dealership tested my supercharger by applying voltage to the clutch and seeing if the clutch would engage. I don't know how involved this is but I got the impression that it was a relatively easy check for the dealer.
If your supercharger needs to be replaced and there is no unit local then be prepared to wait 4 or 5 days for a replacement to ship (the clutch and supercharger are one big assy so the clutch can't be replaced separately). Replacing the supercharger is not fast nor easy so expect the job to take another 4 or 5 days. Also, there is a breather line attached under one of the intakes (left one I believe) near the throttle body. My dealer did not reattach this line so you may want to check yours after your dealer finishes up with your car.
Finally, check that your supercharger pulley is not loose and sliding off it's shaft - especially after your dealer monkeys wth the clutch. My pulley slide off it's shaft and ground into tubing in front of the engine and also a couple of other pulleys. The acccessory belt was also damaged. My dealer claimed they did not loosen the supercharger pulley during troubleshooting and probably didn't - but you never know and if the clutch is failing, it just might be due to a loose pulley.
