To Mod or not to Mod?
To Mod or not to Mod?
There are striking similarities between the Crossfire and the Porsche 914. Both ran for a limited number of years, both have a passionate following and they are both great compact sport cars. Like with many classic sport cars, the more original the better, which is what I looked for in the 914. There are many mods that are made to the Crossfire that will only raise the value; there are some that cannot be undone. Example: I saw a pic where the bottom row of switches were moved to where the cup holder is (no big loss) the cig lighter and astray removed as well and replaced with a nav system. I thought this was cool, but is it for me? Everyone needs to do what they feel is best for their own Crossfire, but in a time where most Manufactures are producing cookie cutter cars, the Crossfire could be a classic, a car that only comes around once in a long while. I always felt the Porsche 914 should have been taken care of better as a whole and with forums like this one, we are on our way. So to Mod or not to Mod?

I have around 8,000 in modifications and have a long list of modifications.... I plan on doing in the future.... If I was to replace this car with another it definatly will be a major upgrade such as Rossion Q1, Ferrari 360, or something else in that range, but I currently can't comfortable afford those cars.. till then I will be daily driving the crossfire..

If you've got the cash then mod. away. Why not?
Personally, I'm waiting until the warranty is gone then it's "whenever the money is available". CAI, pulley, resonator removal, Rotex are in the future.
Hey, Opticon, I resent that 'old pharts' comment!!
I'm not gonna wait around until the car becomes 'valuable' if it ever does. I don't have 20 more years to wait & see what happens. I could get hit by a truck tomorrow (though up here it's more like a manure spreader......yes, it's that time of the year again!) & miss out on trashing that Mustang GT!
