It was a dynocom industries dyno and afr was 11.7 to 12.3 above 3k rpm(on and off the nos). Below that they were so high the nos was unusable around 14.1. So my trigger is set to come on gradually from 3100-5950 rpm starting at 35% to 100% with a safety cut out at afr of 13.1 with a 5/10ths of a sec. delay

Did you make it out there yesterday? Anxious to see what kind of times we can pull with that much power.

I did go and the nitrous vendor wasn't there, I needed a fill up. So I ran on motor only and my best time was 12.08 @ 117mph 50 degrees outside). I could not get there, meaning the 11's without the juice but I'm hoping to go back this sunday April 6th with the bottle filled. And get deep into the 11's! I'll let you know how it goes ( launching is a big problem and I need to work on that even with slicks + my timing was pulled 4 degrees to run on nitrous and since I had none it was a little slower.

Wow Jeff, that is a killer time and great trap speed. I'll tell you those DR's make a big difference at that track because I ran a mustang with DR's and while I was fish tailing and sliding down the first 10 feet, he took off like no prob. He had like everything done short of forced induction done to that thing and ran a 12.6 at 109. Had I had DR's I would have spanked him tho. Heck, you might see high 10's with that hundred shot.

117mph is great, can you list your mods?

There is not enough room in my sig for all, but in a nutshell. Needswings CAI, Let Motorsports Pulley Kit, 3" stainless exhaust-cats and resonaters deleted, Inmotion custom tune, piggy back computer with datalogging, Nitrous express 110 shot( not in use on this day) Hoosier slicks, 110 torco fuel, cold spark plugs, custom ignition, some more stuff I forgot about but these are the main things!

So you basically had the same mods as Chi-town and trapped, 4mph faster. What gave you the extra oomph? Was it the 110 fuel? Your car is running where I wanna be. Teach me LOL I've seen cars go 11.5 at 115, if you can get that thing to hook on the bottle you might be able to pull a 10.90.

Sorry for all the questions ahead of time.
Is your ecu tuned from inmotion special for all your mods? Like is there something different in the tune for removing your cats? No CEL's coming on? The 110 gas? Does your car run normal on super or do you have to run race gas all the time? I have been wanting to get a tune, but am curious how Inmotion can tune your car with all those mods, without your car there to dyno? I've heard good things, but damn that's good. Also the O2's? Did you use something to trick the car into thinking they are still there.

BlueMDsrt6 -- I think Chitown still had his cats and only had a 178mm pulley compared to the 185mm?

Anyway. Congrats on a great run and I hope your hard work puts you the first in the 11's. Thanks for testing away. Start measuring for that roll cage or that nitrous will have to stay empty. You had to have some wicked 1.6 or 1.7 60' times. As always have fun and be safe.

Very nice job, you have an 11's car there without the juice if your timing would have been there. You will be deep into the 11's this week, again nice work.

Jeff (MD SRT6) is running a LET 178 pulley also (atleast last time I talked to him he was).

My proggressive controller has first gear lock out and then I'll do a gradual ramp on the nitrous. other than that, spin and run till I figure it out and try to stay out of the wall . I'm also thinking of reducing the shot to around 50hp till I'm able to get down the track, then go back up from there.

I think the 110fuel, the exhaust, and the spark plugs, the slicks, and the cooler intake air temps( cooled the heat exchanger between runs) all gave that little bit extra plus my track is only 80ft above sea level I have been told MIR is one of the fastest tracks in the country? But these are just theorys, it's only .2 et and 4 mph faster than he was on his way smaller investment. So I think maybe he was smarter

Your right that is one of the fastest tracks in the US. On perfect days it may even have a negative DA. Byron Raceway where ChiTown ran his, is one of the others. It's prime for a new National record, that will be hard to beat anyplace else that is not sea level. Would of loved to see the crowd on video after that pass. Priceless.

Yes the Inmotion tune can be done for your mods without a dyno.... for example adding any pulley causes some degree of lean condition they can add fuel, adding nitrous needs timing pulled out they can do that, removing all limiters they can do that, I am not tuned through the regular ecu only, so I have a piggy back computer from FJO that allows me to run 110 or 93 depending on which chip I have installed I have a few of them, I did not remove the front cats, only the rear so no cel problems, and the 60 foot times where only so so, this car is a little slow out of the gate due to a very high gear I believe a 3:08 to 1, I wish instead of all these engine mods somebody would come up with a gear, that would really make these cars nasty!!!!!! My best 60' was somewhere around 1.7, but the top end is deadly!!!!!!! By the way tuning on a dyno is allways better but for $500 InMotion does a really good job. My piggyback was completly set up on a dyno.

Does the FJO piggyback allow you to advance timming for race gas? If so then I can see why you trapped 117. Is there a part # for this piggy back? I would love to be able to run a race tune at the track.

No you can not pull timing or add timing with the fjo comp, but can add more fuel and some other things, if you wan't a street tune and a track tune Inmotion can give you 2 chips and their easy to swap about 20 minutes.

That's great on the chips. Does Inmotion charge more for that? I'm going to need a custom ECU tune, anybody else doing one in the next month or two? Maybe we can get a group buy going. Sounds like InMotion has 3 of the top 4 tunes on dragtimes.com, maybe all 4?
