Dont' take this as an assault on your age or experience, but in all seriousness, learn to master what you have before you start spending money on your SRT6. Look into a driving school. Go to a large parking lot and destroy a set of tires learning how to control the car when it fish tails on dry pavement and in the rain, when you are turning to the left. Speaking from personal experience, I spent years driving high performance cars and mastering how to drive a car like this and I'm still learning 20 years later. I started with a car that was fast enough to be dangerous in my hands, but not SRT6 dangerous. I was lucky to survive to 25, as were many of my friends with high powered cars. The ones that didn't learn the valuable rules of physics did not survive and it doesn't take much research to see how many teenagers don't survive today when handling cars like this. If you have to buy something for it, buy something to stick on the fenders or a better GPS. It is good to see you here asking questions and listening. So please heed this advice too.

Save it - and when you double it - get a 185mm Pulley - best gains for the buck...

If you must spend it - buy an SL55 Intake system..

Allow me to expand on parawxman's comments.

Go to http://www.nasaproracing.com/ and sign up for the Buttonwillow event in late April. You'll spend less than the $450 you have earmarked even if yoiu do both days and get a hotel and food in the area for the weekend. You'll get an instructor to show you the ropes and teach you how to drive quickly and safely.

One of the most common comments made by instructors at these events is about the guys who show up in high powered cars thinking they're hot stuff, only to spanked by much slower cars driven by guys who really are hot stuff. The car is only part of the equation - without a competent driver it's just a big ol' lump of steel, rubber, plastic and leather.

2nd for the pulley.

Biggest bang for the buck. Period.

WOW! $335 for an SL55 intake, surely it must come with the air boxes too. I only gave $96 I think for the "Y" & hose's delivered from oempartsdirect.

Yes - comes with the Y-pipe, hose fittings, airboxes, filters & intake tubes.

From the throttle body to the radiator support.

Cmon Steve....

BTW - oempartsdirect went belly up...

Buy the Needswings intake. You wont get the full potential power out of a pulley without the intake first.

Get the NeedsWings Intake or Put it in savings and get a Pulley and Tune later on. I wouldn't go with the SL55 intake setup unless you are set on keeping it looking stock. The SL55 is unproven, and we know the NeedsWings intake adds 20-30 HP at the wheels.
