Default Another Wheel Opinion Thread

What do you think of these?

Be honest! I want something sporty and classy. I like the Mandrus Milleniums, but they are backordered for like 2 months or more!

Going to go for 19s and 20s.

They look like Stock SRT rims without the center cap. (which I think make our rims easier to clean).

Glad I like our stock rims - saves me some $$.

I like 'em too, but like the stainless lip and the +1 size. A little larger can make a big difference!!

The Petrol Metrix wheels look good, but I just do not like the 10 spoke wheel look, just my opinion. It was either the 15 spoke Mandrus Millenums which were back ordered, or the 5 star Petrol Octane. If you order the Metrix, make sure you get the 20*10 ET 25 for the rear.

Also, I highly recommend going with 225/35/19 for the front tires, which gives the overall diameter of 25.2" this is close to the factory 225/40/18 overall diameter of 25". Currently the 235/35/19 overall diameter is 25.5" which causes more rubbing when reversing and when turning into a ramped driveway. My next set will be the Nitto Invo.

I like them - but too similar to stock SRT rims IMO.

Check these for gray car.

They look like stock SRT6s, I think I'd go to Benz 18 "55SL staggered wheels for better ride and tire selections.

I also like the Petrol Octane looks better. 5 or 6 spoke if your changing out. These look pretty good too;

Yes, I'm planning on going 225/35/19 and 275/35/20
Agreed about the rubbing, but if I don't lower as much I probably wouldn't have the rubbing issue. I like this look and he is at the stock ride height:

Yikes! The C-note is a little, well, too much hip hop for me.

Here is a Bimmer with the Petrol wheels.

Me No Like...

Too similar to the stock wheels, except they don't look as good.

The Octanes get my vote +1,000,000

How much are Petrol Wheels and where can you get them?

They aren't bad, but I would prefer the Milleniums by FAR.

There is a graphite SRT with Gray Octanes in the wheels forum IIRC...looked pretty nice!

I went with classic 5 spoke type in TSW's Nogaro rims... I stayed on the sock diameters though...

Not sure I like the 10 spoke design as the spokes are very 'sharp edged'.

Good luck!

Thanks guys, I think I'll wait until the Milleniums come in. I don't want to risk the 10 spokes not looking good.

Maybe I'll just drop it down a little.

What do you think?

I don't care for lowered xfires. IMHO

I thought you said in another thread that you support keeping the car looking like it just came from the factory? If the original design intent was for it to be lower, they would have built it that way.

As far as the wheels go, the "summer wheels" on the SRT's fit the car much better than the standard wheels of the base and limited's...IMHO.

Yes, I did. I support keeping vehicles to look as if they came from the factory even with mods. Subtle things such as stock looking wheels, but just a little larger; lowered ride height, not slammed, but just enough to close the gaps, say 1" or so.

I think your making the right choice by waiting for the MM to become available. Mandrus rims look stock on an SRT6 but that’s the point IMO. Not wanting to alter the factory look too much, just upgrade it. I think the rims look NICE on my car but on your color car…SWEET!

FYI- I’m bias

Where are the pics of your car with the wheels?
