I have been working to remedy some of these issues by taking of such things as catalytic converters and resonator this will make your car a bit louder, but still not too loud.. I suggest to do this.. you will like it and it does not cost much... I plan on installing some performance parts such as headers and camshafts to make it a little rougher cause thats what the car needs, to make it more fun...

The car you drove was either broken, had 300,000 racing miles on it, or the car wasn't an srt 6. Test drive another one! I've had vettes and muscle cars, and this is as quick as the fastest of them. Best of luck, let us know how it works out!

It was also very quiet. IS THAT NORMAL? I know these cars use a lot of MB components but I was expecting there to be more of a sensation. If I was alone on a runway with nothing around (think top gear) I would have no idea what speed I was doing based on physical feedback or exhaust note.

If you are concerned about the silver center panel and console, for less than $400 you can have a beautiful blk or silver carbon fiber finish applied.

I will agree with you about the doors, seats and accents. I was mainly referring to the center console. I think they should have spent more on the dash and cut costs elsewhere since the dash is what you see more than anything else. Not really a dealbreaker for me but it does make me wonder why they did that.

Honestly, you should be less surprised about people's annoyed responses when you post on a Crossfire forum that the SRT6 you drove felt slower than a 160hp xB. That said, you really should test drive a working SRT6 in the future.

They were all blindingly fast, quiet unless the throttle was 3/4's engaged...after which it emits an ominous growl, and pulled all the way into felony ticket territory. The last time I was in a car like that was high school in a friend's vintage '65 GTO with tri-power. The GTO had none of the manners that the SRT-6 has.
I also have a Scion tc which is a quick little car (sans available supercharger, which would make the FWD a little nervous). The xB is an Aveo compared to the tc.
Did you open the hood on the SRT-6 you drove? It looks much different than the other Crossfire models. The car you are describing sounds rather like a Limited with a plugged up air filter on a bad day.

Welcome to the forum, it's a pretty tough crowd when it comes to defending the Xfire. Most of the time, we are all very cordial and informative; however, as soon as someone says something negative about the car, everyone jumps. Say something good, everyone welcomes you with open arms.
