So you joined the forum simply to whine about not being able to join our ranks as owners of a Crossfire? Things that make you go "hmmm."

I would bet that 99% of the members on this forum would trade even on a vette, '05 for a '05 and so on. the resale value on a vette is like no other. I like the crossfire and the vette. I have owned a crossfire and 3 corvettes and when its time to trade out of the vette there is very little pain in the wallet to do so. There both great vehicles and i love to see both on the street.

I was actually going to buy a c6 vette but the price tag was just too high for my budget.

Srt6 17-25k
c6 vette 30-35k

It was an easy choice for me. Plus if you want the better ls3 engine you have to buy 2008+ meaning 40k+++. I'll drop a pulley and supporting mods on our car and be happy.

Wow we are making this guys thread popular. Guess he really did go out w/ a bang.

I dont really believe people here are talking about an '05 vette. We feel the guy who started this thread must have been looking at a C-5. Would I trade even for a C-5 no. Hell no! C-6 , yes.

I traded FROM a C5 to an SRT-6, and would I go back...most definately not.
If he thinks C5's do not have many infuriating (and expensive) problems, he's not looking very hard. (Fuel gauge senders, ECBM, Idler pulleys, passenger side window motor to mention a few) not what you'd expect from a 'top of the line' vehicle.

1st of all the Guy who posted the original message i'm sure will be calling his vette a piece of Crap the 1st time anything goes wrong with it! Also The Intercoller pump is a non issue for probably 90% of crossfire owners. As most owners don't beat the hell out of their cars (at least I hope!). Also I owned a convertible vette some years ago. This was a beautiful car, but very VERY tempermental. Everyone who owns a Vette knows they are fickle cars, it comes with the territory! Also My crossfire is a daily driver, And a vette simply is not.

I Might!!

If I could have purchased a new (or slightly used) Vette for what I paid for my new SRT-6 I'd be on the Vette forum right now.

But I would have needed to pony up an additional $25K for a Coupe or $55K for a Z06!

LMFAO this thread is the best I have seen in along time everyone for themselves lol cut throat. I going to fess up I test drove an '02 and they are really nice cars and all but just not as cool as people make them out to be. From a dig there was no tire spin couldn't even get a squeak felt slower then my old limited XF, but from 60 they feel like an 12 second car. I know it has to do with the whole American dream and American muscle but until this year Chevy really didn't step it up with the corvette. When I say step it up, lol I don't mean the wanna be Ferrari headlights lights, I mean the Z06 and the Blue Devil. Those are the only two that are finally competing with everything else out there worldwide. Anyway there a dime a dozen, I like that people sometimes turn heads and either know what I am driving or have to go home and look it up. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Just to give you all a little fun story about how great our cars look. When I first meet my girlfriend two winters ago, she came over and saw My crossfire on my desktop background, she laughed and said what is that your dream car or something. I said YEAH, its the one in the garage. lol I will never forget it.

Ditto!!! People always ask me about it and I see people staring at the SRT-6. Priceless. I took mine out otday since it was 78 degrees and saw not even a regular xf. Saw no fewer than 4 vettes.

I'll trade for a ZO6!! Anyone? Anyone? I was at the Drag strip one night with one of my old drag bikes, and saw a young girl ripping a brand new, black ZO6. Pass after pass. I finally asked her about the car. She said, "Yeah, my Dad got me this for my birthday. I just told him I wanted a nice sports car. I guess this is ok, but I really wanted a Gallardo." I almost shi* my self!!

...were talking C-5's here when it comes to trading, not C-6 or C-6 ZO6's.
