Default Considering 2005 SRT6

I've been toying with adding a second Crossfire to my little fleet. I bought my 2005 Roadster Limited new and accept that it has depreciated mightily. But it's a car I intend to keep for a long time and I wanted a convertible and a 6-speed. So I'm pretty familiar with the +/- of the vehicle. It has 26k on it over three summers, so it get driven a fair amount.

I may be looking at an identically colored 2005 Coupe SRT6. My wife is not violently opposed...yet. And I found one with 8200 miles and $8k under Kelly Blue Book.

My question: what should I look out for specific to the supercharged engine and automatic? How can I tell if it was abused? I intend to test drive - is there anything I should specifically try to ensure everything is working?

Apologies if this was covered elsewhere in this forum? I went through a couple pages and did not find anything recently.

I test drove one with a valve cover leak onto the exhaust manifold on driver side causing smoke under the hood. I test drove another which supercharger wouldnt engage all the time. There have been issues reported of secondary coolant pump going out causing temps to read to high so the supercharger wouldnt engage. I would put as many miles on it and get it hot as possible on the test drive. Drive it hard but safely. Test out the slapstick tranny by downshifting down and upshifting through all 5 gears.

Be sure to verify the vehicles in-service date so you will know how much warranty is left before you have to pay for all the repairs yourself.

Have you driven an srt-6 yet? And what is the miles/price on the one your considering?

When looking at a SRT-6 check to see if Honda repellent has been applied.

Are you looking at the one in Novi MI? If so I checked into it myself and it had a clean Carfax. What is the current asking price?
if it is the same car or one in SE MI, and if you want another set of eyes to look at it, let me know.
