Default NEW SRT-6 owner/car nut

Hi all, I wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my car.
My name is Scott, I'm a former Marine, now I'm a high volume t-shirt printer VP.
I bought a 2005 SRT-6 yesterday with 13,600 on her. I have liked the car for sometime and had seen the crossfire at the www.texasmile.com event. I ran my WRX wagon to 153.6 mph there. I land speed race, Auto-X and track day when I can but I'm not sure about running the SRT-6 on the track. I like the warranty nice and clean. I had looked at the Jag XKR, G35 Coupe, 2 Vettes but could not justify the money to performance ratio. The SRT-6 is amazing for the price and no one knows about them. People have already associated the car with a SRT-4 and they as so wrong in every way. I love the car and I and some of my Subaru friends are very impressed with the overall car. It does everything very well except hold a drink. I'm in Houston Texas and I can't wait to wake up and drive it more tomorrow.

So hello, I look forward to learning, here are some pics of my other cars/toys.

Thanks, I just got back home from a 30 minute drive. This car is a blast.
I think pulleys are now on my list and some good tires.

Congrats on your smart purchase and welcome to the fam. And you aint kidding about that hold a drink comment, we all wish for a darn decent cupholder. Can't have it all I guess. THANKS CHRYSLER! The one part of the car I bet they did have the most input on.

Welcome to the XFire ownership team. You will find you have bought a "steak" car at a "hamburger" price.

I believe the longer you have one the more you appreciate it.

Thanks all, I'm going to go ahead and ask the newb questions.

I would like new crossfire badges to replace the chrysler badges, where?

I would like SRT-6 floor mats that fit well, where?

Will the dual intakes void the warranty? I know the pulley will.

I know more ?'s are coming.

Thanks,
Scott

If you want replacement emblems for the front/rear/wheels make sure to check out Andews product. They are easy to install and look great. Also, for a classy engine plate and SRT6 emblems SRT SIX sells an outstanding emblem. Both of these guys are trustworthy and will treat you right.

Dan Root for full emblems Andrew for Decals.

SRT-6 Floor Mats... Ebay...

Warranty is not voided by a product unless they can prove that the product has created this damage... I don't see how an intake or a pulley can void warranty unless they are the cause of the damage... but the pulley I would be very surprised if any chrysler dealer would be able to detect the modification...

For the benefit of new members who might be interested in your emblems, can you explain how the "replacement" technique works and exactly what needs to be done to make the switch? Decal overlays are obvious, but "replacements" are not. Thanks.

Details for removal are always sent with my emblem package and my cell # for any questions or help!
1. removal, original emblem tap with small screwdriver in center until it breaks don't pry-out from edge you can damage the chrome! After cracking emblem peel out from center very easy! Clean off old silicone and use my supplied very sticky 2 sided tape or buy silicone and apply no GLUE please. The wheels 1st remove caps drill from backside in center with 1/8 drill bit and push off original DC emblem very easy! Stick my emblem on after cleaning! My wheel emblems come ready to install! Total time unless you have only one thumb is about 30-45 mintues! And if you were to accidently damage my emblem I'll replace it no charge just postal cost! For as long as you own it!

So with your emblems you have to break something and then drill to get them installed.

I think I will stick with Andrews easy and non-damaging decals.

What do the rest of you think?
