This is making me want to do mods asap, although I love choices/competition. Hey Needswing, step up so I can compare!

Thanks for all the aftermarket support (especially LET and Needswings). Keep up the good job guys.

It sure looks legit...

I'm simply pinching myself, from seeing a website list such an inclusive list of SRT upgrades, all on one page!

Those look like the C32 units they made. I wonder how they fit and what the gains are?

the thing is.. that LET and Needswings are working on distinctively different mods... for the car which is a good thing.. combine both tuners for maximum results!!

I have been delaying engine work for quiet some time.. due to other expensive mods, but I sure as hell can't wait to increase my performance.. and it looks like the longer I wait the large the list of things to buy gets.. haha

the gain from those headers was something like 21 hp. I cant wait, I am waiting on an ASP pulley and I talked to Erik about tackling my own headers, but if that falls through I think I am just going to do the stage 2 you cant go wrong. I am defiantly getting that heat exchanger and Johnson pump. Did you guys read about the C32 twin turbo project? I have had an erection for 24 hours now lol

It would be nice if they used an actual picture. I am assuming this is not an actual picture since the ones in the picture will not fit our cars. Also the ones in the pictures are not even true shorty headers. Also anthing that fits the SRT will also fit any non SRT, as well as any SLK320 or SLK32.

Where is the HP claim for the headers?

yea that does confuse me a little.. especially the fact that headers are not mentioned for the slk32... so maybe.. it is just a mistake... but hopefully not

Erick at LET told me he had some headers and a HE under development when I talked to him a few weeks ago - Not sure if these are pre-release photos or ?? Best to call or email him and ask.

I am definitely interested in headers, a larger HE, Phenolic spacers, the Johnson pump and a cooler thermostat; but sometime next year (March/April)

I am waiting for delivery & installation on the LET 185mm pulley and ECU tune before I mod any further.

I believe I will be the first forum member to try the 185mm pulley and tune, and perhaps the first to install a complete SL55 intake, so I will do a before and after dyno with the pulley/tune (the before will be with the SL55 intake installed - I aint taken' this bad boy off) and I will also do a few 1/4 mile runs and post the results when they open the drag track at California Speedway in January for street cars.

Who will step up and be the first to order a set of headers (LET or NW) Install and post results? Dyno, 1/4 mile or both??

I think I am going to be the first for the headers. I am going to work backwards this winter I have an idea for headers in the works right now. Erick is such a great guy he was even going to hook me up with some of CNC flanges and larger collectors that he uses for his headers. I have not had a chance to call him I have been swamped with finals for school, but hopefully I will get a hold of him next weekend or after Christmas. I am sure he will talk me out of doing the headers because I have no welding skills what so ever and I was hoping to learn from a project like this. I think a better place to start will be me welding up something to delete the resonator. If he lets me know this is the case I will buy the headers and the heat exchanger. I have been waiting for this HE for like a month now. Like I said I am working backwards I am going to do headers, cooling, Then hopefully I will have a pulley. I am getting it from a guy who is getting rid of his ASP pulley because he is upgrading to the LET pulley lol. LET is really stepping it up and really fast I am yet to be disappointed. I figure headers will be the most time consuming. Who cares I HAVE ALL WINTER TO MOD lol and a month off school.

The hp gain is on MBworld under LET headers MAKE power. It was tested on the same engine as ours

Here is with the new HE from LET

Actually - you may be working forwards - the route you are going you may end up getting better performance out of a pully / intake mod then working the other way.

Good luck and please share your work and results with us.

I would try to get some reliable data on gains before spending almost a grand. If they get you 20HP all by themselves, that would be great!

Erick showed 15hp with everything that I am talking about doing, It was not just the headers alone I am sure it will be at least 20hp after the ecu is tuned.

They actually look like cheap knock-offs of the Super Sprint headers... Nobody seems to get the design yet... 3-1 collector....

Would the three into one have better results do you think ? This is the third set of headers I have seen that have had each pipe dump into the next. Vrus at VRP has done this, LET, and floorfab, No one is yet to have a problem and they are all seeing significant gains for half the price of the Supersprint headers that are not even available for our car anymore. It would be sweet if we could do something like the VRP long tube kit it is just beautiful.

It's more about the 90 degree angles that restricts the flow and creates back pressure... So, maybe that's why they don't use that type of header for race engines... Also, you need equal length outlet tubes to maximize hp....

I was following the thread for the FlooredFab headers and I was willing to buy a set. When I called FF I was quoted $1,299.00. Last I read that there was only an 8HP gain so I put my CC back in my wallet. I also understood that you were required to lift the engine to fit them in. I cannot even find the headers listed on FlooredFab's website??

Headers for our cars is going to be really tuff - I think that to make something work and work well, you will need major modifications to the entire exhaust system. I'm not sure "bolt on" replacements are possible but I still have hope.

So what I meant by that was even though everyone is seeing gains, there is more gains to be made? Would you see headers like this hurting the engine in the long run? HDDP can you share with us who is making your headers and whether or not they will produce more then one set?

I also was going to join the group buy and get them at the discounted price when I started reading everything seemed great and it was the first header available for the SRT6. That was where in my head I wanted to start so I too was ready to fork over the cash. It looks like it would have been a bad idea he is having leaning out problems. Even when the ECU is reworked he is still having troubles getting enough fuel.
