Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
Here are the pics. of the final product.
BTW, performance is greatly improved!! It actually burns rubber side to side now, then grabs 2nd, with out much "lag". Then 2nd to 3rd shift feels like it tries to break the tires loose some of the time. It is about 50 degrees out and sunny. FYI.

Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
Looks Great Man! I maybe would of run those pipes behind the grill, where all the cold air is! There is alot of heat where your filters are at! I would also powder coat those pipes black, as chrome is terrible at releasing Heat! When you pop that hood, people are going to say S.W.E.E.T...
Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
Thanks, I spend half of the day yesterday trying to find out where to put the stainless filters i had. None of the filters i had fit at all! so i had only 1 mushroom/greddy knock off. it was the one. so i ordered 4 more, 2 for me of coarse. Trying to run the filters behind the grill with a good size whole looks almost impossible. there wasnt enough room. I left it shiny for the pics. it is Polished Aluminum, all 3" mandrel bent and fully TIG welded with 4 ply puracill couplers and t-bolt clamps. it doesnt need all that, but i do love the "over" the top look.
I am Heat Wrapping it with DEI 2"wide x 50' later tomorrow, for maximum performance.
Powdercoating is just a feel and look good product. which i do love, but no performance. i usually get my parts Ceramic Coated, then wrap it, which is the best to do, but expensive, and not good looking. IMO.

Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
i looked into that for a while yesterday. the pics make the filters look like they are way far from the core support. in fact, they are touching the core support. they suck fromt the same place as the factory set up does, just not forced into. it made a HUGE difference. i think it will make some more ponies once the car is warmed up if the intake is heat wrapped.
Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
Those are nice rears. Do they hook up better? With your racing history do have any idea how good the hoosier drag radials are in comparison to the Nitto 555 drag radials? The intake looks sweet and the fact it made a bigger difference than removing the cats and resonator makes a huge statement. Great job.

Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
I sell the breather filters in my shop. $15. We have different colors as well.
I would sell and make as many Y's as needed. let me make another one, and see how long it takes, so i can get everybody a price. The whole intake took about 6 hours to make, after looking at it for a bit to get the basic idea. I just saw the other pics of the intakes with the filters in front of the radiator. I am going to play with that on monday.

Re: MY Cold Air Intake!!
After looking at moving the air intake tubes in front of the radiator, i do not like the restriction fo the core support. so i took all thefactory ramair brackets and junk out of the way, and modified the girlle!! What a difference from a 75 mph roll!!
Here are some new pics.
