Another thing to consider is how many warranty claims have been made concerning the engine and drivetrain? Granted these are not items that are cheap to repair but how many have actually had problems when compared to all of the seat heaters, headlights, radios, etc. issues members have had?
Well, they sold the Track Experience Cars when they were done with them. There were no voided warranties on them and they were ABUSED! It really comes down to the dealer a lot of the time. I never saw that a Chrysler dealer had to go to the Chrysler warranty rep to get approval to do a repai on an SRT vehicle. They just did it. I've had experience with Ford. I had a ecu chip, headers, exhaust and short shifter on a Focus. I took it in for a AC problem and they voided the warranty as soon as they opened the hood. I don't mean the powertrain warranty either. Once they saw the big stereo and Optima battery, they voided THE ENTIRE WARRANTY! That's one reason why I will NEVER own another Ford of any kind. New, old, classic or whatever. The blue oval can lick my &*%^#. Both of my SRT-4s had HUGE amounts of mods, and I never had a warranty problem, and I had lots of little problems with both cars. The last one i had was in for 13 different warrantied problems in the 20 months I had it. They knew what it had done to it. They installed alot of it for me... Hey! my headgasket is blown... No problem, we'll have it back to you tomorrow. I have a stage 3 turbo upgrade and it still got the drag slicks on it. No problem. We'll take care of it....

Needless to say, even without a Crossfire tech, I'll be taking mine to that dealership. They have Dodge Sprinter Vans so they should be able to work on a Crossfire. They both use the same diagnostic computer.

I found this site with a bit of info that some of you might like to read. It's part of the SEMA site.
