Default Anyone taken theirs to 158?

Just curious to know if anyone has taken their SRT-6 up to the limiter. From what I've read their limited to 158 and from experience it seems like they could hit that pretty easily.. Anyone done it??

I've done it. It doesn't take to long to get there. My speedo actually read 164 when it stopped, but at that speed it could easily be off that much. It was rock stable to about 145, then got a slight shimmy/vibration. Nothing too scary, but you knew what was was going on.

Ask member Steve Hellums. He has the Renntech kit and has been in the 170s.
As for myself - no. Apkano says I drive like a grandma, maybe he's right. I have only hit ~100 in it. I'm more of a 0-60 guy.

It does not take long to get there and I have been to an indicated 160 on the speedo. Now with the ECU tune and governor taken off I will have to give it another shot and see what she's got in her!

130 or 160....I think the officer would still be taking you to jail with either speed.

Might as well go for the gold!

You have apoint. Really, after 100MPH you might as well go for it!!
Depending on the speed limit on that road, you may be OK at 80 on a 65 mph road. But, above 80 thier gonna get you. On the other hand, if your doing 150 and you wiz by a trooper, you might as well keep goin, do a u-turn at the next exit and start your evasive manuevers to get back home.!!
LOL

So the Renntech kit gets rid of the limiter then?

huh? Explain...

90+ in VA, regardless of the speed limit will have getting to know Bubba in Cell Block 9 for at least a weekend. Oh, and the $10,000 Abusive Driver Fine is a nice touch as well.

If I get seen doing 125 in teh Crossy, it's HAMMER DOWN! PoPo will have to WORK for that $10,000 and jail time. Catch me if you can...

Long story short is I have USMC plates and the officer was being nice. I was accused of doing 87 in a 45. He could have arrested me but didn't...instead they towed my car which cost me $500 plus towing fees to get back. I'm all lawyered up at this point...

Welcome to the Communist Wealth of Virginia. Please check your License, Radar Detector, Window Tint and Aftermarket parts at the boarder. Oh, and by the way, all drivers of vehicles not displaying a front plate will shot on site. Thank you, and enjoy your stay.

My brother and sister-in-law live in VA and they have asked me if I would consider moving there. Your post is the reason that my answer was a resounding NO.

VA state motto: Virginia - where everything is illegal!

When i was bringing my new crossfire home from the dealer. On the bridge I got up to 110 before I realized what speed I was at. Couldnt not even tell that I was going that fast. Freaked me out and slowed down. LOVE IT>>>
