Is the little red plastic lens in the key fob a light? If so how do you get it to light up?

 

I believe this is part of the signal immitter to lock and unlock your car. I don't believe this is a light.

It lights up only when you change the way you want the car to unlock.
This is done by hitting 2 of the buttons at the same time. The red light will light up when it is changed (you can set the remote to unlock both doors or one door - the instructions are on the forum somewhere).

 

This actually does light up. If you look at the red lense when it's dark and press one of the buttons you will see 2 very dim flashes. I guess this is just to let youknow that it's functioning and has power. They are very dim and you won't see them unless you look for it.
