Default U.S. 41 dragway

An invite, My son and I are heading down to U.S. 41 dragway this Sat. to finally do some testing on my water/meth kit. Since my install I have also had the ECU tuned by InMotion Tuning so it will be a two fold test, just ECU and ECU and water/meth. The car feels quicker since the tuning but I am not making any claims yet. The company was great to deal with too, under $300 and a three day turn around.

So, if any of you guys are close to U.S. 41 and can make it there on Sat. look for my blue SRT and my son's blk Corvette. My dad is also coming but he is not racing this time, BTW he has a beautiful 03 Cobra. To bad he is not racing it would be cool to have three generations on the track. Not to mention Chryler, Ford and Chevy comp.

I will give a full review after I get back Sat. night, bad or good.

Ya, I already told him about your car. He told me that he could tune for more boost. He said that the tune he did for me should be ok with a 14% increase of the pulley size as long as I keep the water/meth. He also suggested that I get a air/fuel meter from 3bar racing. He said it is easy to install and it is very good for the price. I am hoping for 2 tenths with ecu and another tenth with the meth. That would put me at 12.5, I would be happy with that until I can get a pulley next spring.

Where is the ECU on this car? How tough is it to install? Do you think he could get one to me by this sunday?

Where they located? Maybe I could drive out there before sunday and get it done?

No, on this sunday, he is located in OR. I sent him my ECU on a Tuesday morning, he got Wed and sent it right back after tuning and I got it Thursday.

The ECU is very easy to remove. It is located on the passenger side in the engine bay. It is under a blk cover that has pics of pad locks on it. Remove the cover and is the one with two steel clips holding it in.

Yes, it feels like the car is more responsive. And it smokes my 275-35-19 BFG KDW's. It seems to pull harder thru the gears too. But I want to get the track times to back me up.

Very Nice! What type of price did he quote for a custom tune (pulleys intake)? Website says 500...

Give him a call, I am sure he will work with you for a good price. He told me he would do life time tunes for 350.00.

When you call him tell him that you spoke to me about his tuning on this forum. He will then know who you are because we have spoken about your car.

Well, how much was the quote?

I am trying to compare the ASP/Custom ECU Tune to the Renntech (in both power and cost).

I'm anxious to know what you come up with. It seems that ASP is the way to go, by far...other than the name and reputation you get with Renntech.

Do we know the 'limits' of tuning?
How about the limits of the fuel system?

I'm wondering if AMGrasoul will be able to have his car tuned for the monster pulley he made...

I have a question about chip tuning....Say i went ahead and bought the inmotion chip tuning on Ebay. Do they do a universal mod to the ECU? If i add mods like (Intake, Pulley, etc) will the tunning need to be adjusted? I am actually liking the price of this and may do it soon. I am also going to be adding a needswings intake and probably the ASP pulley at some point, so i want the ECU to be right.

Well, here are my two best runs. Still my worst run of the day was still faster than my old fastest.

reaction--.6459 ---- run 2 .8861
60ft.-----1.8511 ----- 1.7809
330------5.3229 ----- 5.2748
1/8 et----8.1681----- 8.1517
1/8 mph--86.52 ---- 85.57
1000 et--10.5982---- 10.6747
1/4 et---12.6411---- 12.6747
1/4 mph-109.77--- 109.27

slowest time was a 12.81 at 108.15

Both of my fastest runs were with tune only no water/meth. It would only run 12.77 at 108.60 with the water/meth on.
In short I picked up almost 3 tenths with the tune from INMOTION TUNING USA. And look at my 60 ft in the second run my best before the tune was 1.914
The temp today was a 58 very close to my first time out of 60-65. My fastest ET was also a hot lap after a screwed up pass that I just spun like crazy because of oil on the track.

There you go the tuning from INMOTION TUNING IS WORTH THE MONEY IN MY BOOK.
