Chi-Town,
Look into the ATC-2000 camera on ebay, small camera that you can mount just about anywhere. Toss it on your helmet (includes the strap) when you are running the car.
I am about to purchase one for kayaking/shark fishing, should be cool!
They are cheap! You could even mount it on your mirror to look forward if you wanted - or wing!

Re: Byron Dragway this sunday...
I would think that SOMEONE would sell them around town. Look at anywhere that will sell skateboard stuff also, as a lot of skaters tend to use them. Same with BMX riders.
I have never seen one at best buy, but I haven't really looked. I searched for 'helmet' at bestbuy.com and came up with this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1153337209556
(Available online only)
The ATC looks like a much better product, imho.
OR, get it online and have it shipped next day with Saturday delivery.

I shark fish out of my kayak...so I need something waterproof. They always splash you and sometimes flip ya too
I've got a Canon S1IS with a waterproof housing...but it is way too heavy to mount on my head
I was looking into these, and got the idea of throwing one on the car and running it down the track. The main concern would be the bumps...you'd likely be best to mount it on your head or somewhere with some shock absorption. The mirror or anything outside will shake like crazy unless you pad it down.
I will be purchasing one soon...
30min-1hr is a good amount of time, especially when it is only 12.5sec or less to get down the 1/4 mile
