New Tires for SRT: Nitto Invo or Yokohama ADVAN S.4. ?
New Tires for SRT: Nitto Invo or Yokohama ADVAN S.4. ?
From what I've seen, these two look like the best choices for all weather tires for an SRT.
The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Weather may also be a possibility.
Has anybody that has tried these have any feedback?
Does anyone else have a better suggestion?
I'm ruling out anything pricier than the Yokohamas, and since this is a year round car for me, I need to stick with all weather tires.
I did read some reviews that criticize the Nitto as having too weak a sidewall.
Thanks for the help picking out my new tires in my recent threads.

I am not familiar with the Nittos but I was debating between the Advans, Contis and Goodyears for all-season tires - at this point after reading a recent Tire Rack test on "ultra-high performance all season tire" (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...ay.jsp?ttid=87) that ranked the Goodyears a very close second pushed me to the Goodyears. I will probably order from Tire Rack in the next couple days. They are like $148 per front and $220 per rear (the local Goodyear dealer quoted me $188/fr and $300/rr...wow!).

I just looked at the Invos and I don't think they are all-season - maybe all-weather but not all-season (which I think is a rating that can only be applied to tires that will work in some snow). If that is the case, the invos will probably be a better dry tire than the Advans as they probably have to give something up to be all season....hope that makes sense and I think its accurate....

I. In my personal, and humble, opinion the Continental ASPs were better
at holding the road than the Eagles. I ran two sets of the Continentals
before buying the F1 GS-D3 tires, and I am finding the Eagles to be losing
traction in corners and at speeds that I didn't have any problem with while
shoed with the Continentals.
When I need another new set, somewhere in about 1 1/2 years (hope these last that long), I think I'll go with the Continental ConitContact 3
summer performance tires. If they are as sticky as the ASP's were, it will
be an improvement.

Just got a new set of Nitto Invo tires. I can't say whether they will handle in the snow but those two HUGE grooves and siped tread are supposed to disperse a lot of water.
I can say without a doubt, they are the quietest tires I have ever had as well.
The rear 255/35/19s are very hard to find so I opted for the 285/30/19s. Cost about $50 each more, but added about 1" in width while only off by .06 mph at 60MPH. with the patch increase and the aspect ratio decrease, the ride is no more harsh than before. These tires also have a "rim protector" edge that should reduce rim rash.
