Default ASP Pulley Review

O.K i'll cut right to the chase...with the pulley's on this car it turns into a BEAST! After install I went for a ride and the dam things pulls harder than my old Z06 for sure! That car ran 12.6@113 stock and I can guarantee the SRT will beat that. If I had to guess I would say 0-60 times near 4 seconds flat and 0-100 in the mid 9's. It's almost to the point of being TOO MUCH for the street. The pilot sports do a great job putting the power to the ground but you can anticipate the car roasting through 1st and second ALOT more than before. It's easily the fastest car I have owned...

Now for the install info...

Installation is a snap and took me total less than 45 minutes. The directions are off a little as our cars do not have bolts holding down the fan (just snaps) and we do not need to remove the horns. Other than that the directions were rough but good. The hardest part of the whole job was getting the crank bolt loose. I had a friend gently hold a crow bar between the crank pulley and the one directly next to it and wedge it as I broke the bolt loose. It's in there about as tight as an asian virgin so be ready to act like Lou Ferigno to get it out!

Overall the parts are very good quality and even though the price is steep at nearly 1K it's worth it IMO. I do not believe you gain only 25 whp from this pulley kit. If I had to guess by the ol butt dyno I would put it between 45-55. It is truly an impressive increase in power.

I highly recommend this pulley kit to anyone for a number of reasons:

1. It looks stock

2. It uses the stock belt

3. Power increase is awesome

Nuff said...time to drive more!

Let us know how much it hits the fuel economy. I know that's not an issue for most, but I drive ALOT back and forth to work, so every little bit helps.

The throttle is a little addicting at this point...I got 75 miles on a half tank this morning!

Not only a great review but i'm glad to hear the pulley kit kicks this car in the ***. All this without an ecu flash correct? If so that should help even more. Can't wait to see your track times.

I tried that and still couldn't get good leverage, I was too chicken to bend it or throw off the balance/centering. I attempted impacting it off for what seemed like days (ok, just a few minutes, I'm impatient) and it wouldn't budge so finally I grew some ***** and went against my gut and tried something risky but it worked. Basically I unplugged all my coil packs and rested the breaker bar against the side of the engine bay under a large blanket for padding and then seated the 27mm socket on the crank bolt. A flip of the wrist on the ignition and then back off of it and sure enough, the bolt broke loose and I could take it out by hand the rest of the way. Glad we have powerful starters.

Then impact that thing back on there and you're good to go.

Ouch, that's less than 10 MPG. Where do have to run it that hard up there without going to jail?

I ran it out in dixon illinois near this place called the lost nation where my friend lives...got her up to 155 a few times! Lots of roads with cornfields on both sides and you can see for miles...perfect for testing!

You plan on getting a dyno anytime soon? 55 hp increase is insane! I might go back to factory fuel maps if you got that much gain out of it without a reflash. I only got 21 hp or so on a dynojet.

I'm probably wrong but it HAS to be more than 25. The friend that helped me install it is an old muscle car builder and he even thought the 25 was low.

I don't doubt you at all, just want to know if I need to go back to my factory fuel maps.

My ECU seemed to pick up very quickly...maybe its the combo of the intake with the pulleys causing such a dramatic increase...

Sounds pretty bad ***. Now how bout some video, track times and a dyno? Do you think this would go un-noticed if you ever had to take it in for warranty work? That is a big concern for me.

With the addition of the intake, the pulley probably helps even more. I'm anxious to see if you can put the power down at the track!

It looks 100% stock...the only way they would know is if they measured the pulleys...I can't think of a reason why they would do that...and if need be the stock ones can go back on in less than 1 hr!

I think my wallet is going to take a draining this winter getting ready for next spring. After getting out of a stage 3 srt4 i'm really glad to see more products becoming available for the crossfire.

man that is pretty bold on the mph, that would be like a 80 HP gain to raise your traps up from 107. I think low 12's will be possible with traction. It's all speculation at this point, so just run it and then let us know. Props to you for going forward on this, and giving us an idea of what the SRT-6 is capable of, with a couple simple bolt-ons.
