The new design engine badges have arrived.

The old ones were 2 1/2" sq and were slightly smaller than the blank plate above the supercharger.

The new ones are 3" sq and now fit to the edge of the raised "waffle" bars as indicated in the photo.

This is a bit confusing. Your post on the other thread earlier today explained that:

50 SRT6 fender badges - 1 is $30 - 2 or more $26 ea.
30 SRT6 Engine plates - $22 ea.
15 Crossfire dash plates - $20 ea.
Prices are in USD and include S&H to the Continental US. Outside US contact me for shipping.

So are the SRT6 engine plates $22 or $30? Or is the difference related to the older version versus the newer version of the plate? Thanks.

New engine?

 

I have studied the pictures above, looked at my engine, and looked again.
I might be crazy, but I do NOT have a blank plate on my supercharger.
There is a small ridge that stretches the entire length right down the middle making it impossible to secure any type of square plate onto the top.
Does anyone else have this?

 

Umm, yeah. You need to remove the engine cover to see it. The part with the "ridge" you are referring to isn't the Supercharger, it's the engine cover. Pull that off (just pull, it will pop off) and look under it. You should then see what we are talking about. In order to see this engine plate with the cover on, you will need to cut off the section that covers the Supercharger between the surge tanks that say SRT-6. Its easy to do with a hack saw, band saw or dremel tool. Look at the picture at the bottom of the first post. That is a factory engine cover that has been carbon fibered and had the back part removed. Hope that helps.

I am sure many LTD Coupe owners would like to get some of these to use as dash plaques or build plaques. Maybe a pic of the coupe instead of the SRT6 logo? Not sure, what does your artist think would be best? it would be nice to be able to have your VIN# already on it. It would be nice to have the Karmann name and factory on it.

Got my badges and I love them. I'm going to place the engine badge to the right of our glove box key hole. Going to cut a bolt head off and fix it to the middle of the badge, giving it a bolt on look. This will give passengers some literature as I pin them to there seat.
