The new SRT6 engine badges are in, Confirm you still want them.
Re: The new SRT6 engine badges are in, Confirm you still want them.
I got mine installed. It looks great and very professional. I opted not to cut the cover off that goes over the supercharger. I'm affraid I won't be able to get a straight & smooth cut. So, the badge will only be seen by a few people when the entire cover is pulled off. :-(

I received the SRT-6 engine badge, and put it into its rightful place on the supercharger. Used the J-B Weld as instructed, and everything went well.
One question - how did you cut the engine cover to show off more of the supercharger and engine badge. It doesn’t look that easy to get a precise cut.

I trimmed the complete edge with the cross hatch. That is the cleanest way. I tried trimming it and reattaching the back but there is a taper to the cover and it would not line up. If you look at my engine pic it shows where I trimmed it. The only downside is the exposed bolt holes (I think they are to attach a plate to be able to lift the engine). I am going to find a couple bolts that will fit.
Simon has a post about installing the new 55 Y pipe and shows he trimmed part of the crosshatch cover to allow the plate to be seen.
