New SRT-6 owner...
New SRT-6 owner...
Hello all. I recently decided to trade in my SUV, and me and the hubby went out looking at various dealer lots, shopping around. We stopped at the local Dodge/Chrysler dealer after they were closed, to look at Jeeps. Purely by accident, my husband noticed that the Crossfires that the dealer had on the lot were all marked down to roughly 1/2 price. Being a Crossfire admirer since they first debuted, I was immediately intrigued, and my thoughts of a sensible family SUV rapidly disappeared, lol.
The dealer had several base and Limited cars on the lot, but all were manual transmission, which was a no go, since I don't drive a manual. I was bummed out, and went home and started searching AutoTrader for a automatic transmission Xfire in my area. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one, and had almost talked myself into learning how to drive a manual transmission. Then, I happened to find an auto tranny several states away, but it was an SRT-6. At this point, I didn't even know what an SRT-6 was, lol. After a google search, some reading, and looking at some pictures, I was in love. Now the hunt was on for a SRT-6 close to home!
After my AutoTrader search, a few emails, and a couple of phone calls, I finally located the SRT-6 that I hadn't even known I wanted a couple of days before. It only had 16 miles (before my long test drive). I got it on Aug 25 for $25,900 (Navigation and Continentals), and a good trade on my old SUV.
After 1 1/2 weeks of driving it, I love it more and more everyday.
