Question Free luggage questions

Just curious if anyone know how and why some of us that have purchased their crossfires in the last few months are either awarded or refused the free luggage? I had received info from the posts about calling Gerry about the luggage to find out if I was eligible. I received a call back i about 24 hours letting me know that I was not able to receive the luggage. I tried to ask questions and she had told me that it was up to our friends at Chrysler. Then I read a post where a new member had been refused and had asked Gerry if she would please have someone from Chrysler call him and they agreed to the luggage.
I called Chrysler customer service and got absolutely nowhere on the issue, I was very nice and cordial. I even asked to speak with someone in management and was informed it was a dead issue and they would not talk to me.
So now it is just a total curiosity issue with me, how do they decide who wins the lotto and who doesn't.

Cool Re: Free luggage questions

Hi, i just purchased a 2005 SRT-6 with 200 miles. I know, everyone is shocked at the mileage, lol. And i received the luggage in a week. I didn't even know i was supposed to. I believe you get it when you are the first owner of the car.

A lot of the Crossfires that were sold recently were sold as used even though they hardly had any miles and may have never left the dealer. Chrysler used a lot of Crossfires as executive program cars and they also put them in service as loaners so they could claim them as sold to make their sales numbers look better. The "new" cars are then sold as "used" at a steep discount. If you bought one of these cars you most likely will not get the luggage.

I bought my car on a Manufacturers Statement of Origin. They stamped "USED" on the MSO. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles scratched their heads on that one. They stated you can't buy a used car on a MSO but they processed it anyway.

Thats like saying I bought this new car and got the four tires on it for free.

The luggage is not "free", its on the sticker and you have paid for it. As of the 2006 model year DChrysler decided to drop the touring gear, some cars slipped through the cracks with the touring gear on the window sticker and DChrysler had to honor it. The remaining 06's & 07's that are on dealers lots do not come with the touring gear.

Bought my 2006 limited roadster 2 weeks ago, was listed on the window & it arrived a few days ago. Build date 4/06. Got the silver with black interior. Was looking at a red one with the black/vanilla but thought it would be the devil to keep clean, especially here in Florida with the sweat on the vanilla leather & steering wheel.

Same for me... The Mass Registry assumed the dealer was "retarded" and did it. They said they would process it as a new car.

The luggage doesn't apply to the inventory reduction cars.
