Production Statistics
Production Statistics
Are there no production statistics available for these cars (i.e. number of coupes, roadsters, colors, etc.)? I've seen the "approximately 3,000" figure several times, but where does it come from, and is there not anything more conclusive? If there is a breakdown on this site somewhere in a thread, I would suggest making that information available to users on the home page as a separate menu item. See www.prowleronline.com as an example. From that site, I know exactly how many Prowlers were produced each year as well as the number of each color. I hate to think this information is not available on our Crossfires. Thanks in advance for your help.

The latest figures from DCX state 2,016 SRT6 coupes and 928 SRT6 roadsters were made.
There have been some other numbers, but it is not clear how true they are.
Not sure if anyone knows the up to date/true production numbers on the SRT6s. The Daimler/Chrysler split will no doubt delay the 'official' release even more.
Re: Production Statistics
The Prowler production statistic information is very interesting indeed. IIRC, though, other members with good contacts at Chrysler and Karmann have tried to get these figures for us but have been unsuccessful. Of course that makes no sense, but we are dealing with Chrysler here after all...
Re: Production Statistics
Thanks RPM. I do hope the information becomes available. If it does, I hope it is made more accessible than in a thread. It's tedious and cumbersome to "dig" through posts to find such information that is generally of interest to all owners. Thanks again.

Re: Production Statistics
Hmmm, 3,000 total. That's a high production car compared to some I've owned before. Examples:
- 1989 Firebird Indy Pace Car 3.8 Turbo (1,500 made)
- 2005 Commemorative Edition SRT-4 (200 Made)
- 1989 Buick Reatta Select Sixty (60 Made)
- 1989 Buick Reatta Coupe Tech Package (one of only 10 built with cell phone) (one of only 2 in that color)
- 1987.5 Mazda RX-7 Convertible (technically released as an '88, mine was one of 200 they released as demos to dealers and the media in the Spring of '87)
- 1993 Mazda RX-7 R1 Competition Yellow Mica Pearl (one of 147 built, one of only 27 with blue interior)
- 1992 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T Turbo (one of 247 built, I think)
Yes, I know... I'm 29 and I've owned 17 cars already (hazard of being in the car business, they follow me home like lost puppies). As you can see, the rarer the car, the better for me. I hate seeing another car like mine on the road. Only down side, is that I live in a smaller area, and everyone knows where I've been and what I'm doing. I'm also a recovering Mazda Rotary and GM addict. I've seen the light though. I'm still in Mopar or No Car mode for now.
