Have to say that I am very impressed with the engine plaque, It looks like it should of been made that way in the first place.
Took a week to receive and only a couple minutes to mount with the help of JB Weld.
Thanks again for the good product SRT.
O yea... and a free bump.

I got a chance to ask Mark Ramsey, AMG Product Management, MBUSA, if the SRT6 engine was assembled and tested at AMG, Affalterbach, Germany. He wasn't 100% sure, but indicated that it was.
Here's some photos of the AMG nameplate. AMG engine, and SRT6 engine for comparison.

Chrysler states on their website that the engine is "handbuilt". AMG is stamped all over the components. In your pictures you show both engines with their respective covers. If you take them off (or modify the SRT6 cover) they are identical except for the fact that the AMG plate is installed on the MB SLK AMG and it is just a blank area on the SRT6. That is why I created the SRT6 plaque. Most that have installed one think it should have come like that from the factory.

My SRT6 (car) was assembled and tested at Wilhelm Karmann BmbH Osnabruck.
My SLK32 (car) was assembled and tested at DaimlerCrysler AG Stuttgart.
Both the SRT6 and SLK32 engines were assembled and tested at AMG, Affalterbach, Germany.
All I'm suggesting is you change the placard to read: Mercedes AMG, Affalterbach, Germany.

I did the Karmann designation for the vehicle...It will be another setup charge to change now.
If any other SRT6 owners would prefer the change, let me know.
Also I was thinking of another badge similar to the one on the back that would have the SRT6 designation with the word SUPERCHARGED either over or under it. Of course it would not be as thick as that on the back. They would rectangular and be sold in pairs. They could be mounted on the side above the strakes behind the front wheel. Similar to published pictures of the way they were going to make the 2006 version.
Let me know if you are interested. A rough estimate would be $30 a set.
Re: SRT6 AMG Engine Plaques and Xfire Dash Plaques
SRT SIX I would buy a plaque that read Mercedes AMG - Affaletebach even though I have the regular one it is just would it not be a pain in the *** to remove the jb weld that holds the old plaque? Or is there some kind of easy method? And for the emblem you are talking about for the side strakes I would have to see a conceptual image at least to be able to tell you if I would purchase it or not... sorry. = (

The MB part of DCX is quite "fussy" about people using their name. I would have no problem with switching the name of the city, but would most likely keep the Daimler Chrysler reference. The supercharger has AMG all over it, so that is not a problem. If a new plate comes out, you could affix it over the old one with the JB Weld, it will hold just fine. Also if this happens, I will offer an additional discount to those who purchased the original design...right now this part is a big "if".
As far as the other emblems, right now I am looking at interest. The design and setup costs are something that I have to pay up front. As you are aware the current plaques are very professional and I would not accept anything less from the side markers.
If interest is there I will invest the time and money, then present it to the forum members. BTW if there is anything along these lines that Limited or Base model Crossfire owners would like, shoot the ideas my way and I will see what we can come up with.
Thanks for the support,
Karl

Re: SRT6 AMG Engine Plaques and Xfire Dash Plaques
Here is a sample of the proposed fender badge. Dimensions would be 3" x .75" (the one on the back is 2" x .5")
The badge would be silver with black engraved SRT. The 6 area would be reversed red with a silver raised 6. Across the bottom would be a black recessed area with raised silver letters.
The image shown is rough and the letters would be smoothed out. Just looking for feedback at this point and whether you would be interested in getting them.
