Mine is a MI lease return like yours but it was only driven for 322 miles. To me, that's "new." I actually test drove the exact SRT6 roadster you're talking about. Even though it has over 5k miles on it, it is mint and I was gentle. It sold me on the SRT6.

 

Actually, I think Chrysler considers their cars 'new' even if they were exec or Co. lease cars. Something about the first registered private owner. Check your mail in the next few weeks and see if you get letters from DCX that give warranty information, your VIN, and say:
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Crossfire.

 

If Chrysler considers it "new," does that mean I might qualify for free registration here?

 

If it was titled, even by Chrysler, it not considered new. I bought mine also as a Chrysler Executive car. Low mileage and Chrysler certified; still considered used. so NO LUGGAGE from them.
