SRT6 Engine Plaques?
SRT6 Engine Plaques?
I was wondering if anyone that bought engine plaques from SRT SIX has drilled and tapped the top of the supercharger to mount them? I thought I would ask this question because I was thinking of doing this to mount mine, of course I would look into how deep I could drill before I did. I know most everybody used JB weld and done something to cover the holes in the plaque.

Re: SRT6 Engine Plaques?
You can always put screws of some type through the holes (tightly fitting) and then slice the end of the screws off the backside and then JB weld it in place. That should give the screws about half a thread or so to keep them locked down, plus the JB weld.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Some have done as suggested with "short" screws in the holes then JB Weld the plate. I have just left the holes alone and personally don't think it looks bad.

Here is what the "new" one looks like...no holes.
This is a view of an SLK AMG engine with "their" engine plaque

I like the plaques from SRT SIX but I would have done something a bit more simple.

I think you're right, it is impossible to get an engine plaque. I also learned that the engine plaques only showed up on post 03 C32 and SLK32 models.

Re: SRT6 Engine Plaques?
I put my plaque on with 3M double sided tape. It withstands heat very well and if you want to take it off for some reason, it's a lot easier and cleaner than JBWeld. Incidently, I've been using this two way tape on motorcycles for quite a while and have never lost any object affixed with it.

Manufacturer; Scotch 3M
Nomenclature; Indoor/outdoor Mounting Tape, Super Heavy Duty
Stock Number; 411/DC
Our plaques are relatively light and mounted horozontally will not come off unless you want it off. I have mounted heavy enameled badges to the front of air cooled BMW motorcycle engines and haven't lost one yet. Incidentally, my plaque has been on for about 6 months without a problem.
Enjoy, Dan
