Renntech SRT-6 1/4 mile times...
I took it to Byron Dragway (1/4 mile track) in IL yesterday.
It was about 75 degrees and sunny, track temp was 102 at 1 pm.
The car ran great and needless to say, I'm very happy with the results.
I only got to run it 5 times all day, very busy track that day.
I had the PS2's dropped down to 22 psi, then did a 5 second burnout in front of the water box (not in it) to clear the tires and warm them up, then did a small launch to test the traction, and then pulled to the line...
I was trying to launch at around 1,500 rpm each pass with very good 60' times and no tire spin at all...it was throwing me into the seat everytime.
My best numbers from different runs are...
60'...1.834
1/8...8.160
1/8 mph...87.10
1/4...12.671
1/4 mph...108.11
Pics of the slips coming up...

Re: Renntech SRT-6 1/4 mile times...
Those are great times. Any idea what DA you were at? I ran 8.40 at the local 1/8th mile track during mid summer at 95 degree's. I'm dying for some cool air to get here. The difference in our runs is in the 60'. I couldn't get better than 2.00 on the day I went. I have the pulley's and ecu as well. I'm wondering how much of a difference your other mods are making.
Re: Renntech SRT-6 1/4 mile times...
I made a bunch of 8.8x passes this weekend but mine is all stock. I couldn't beat a 2.00 short time either.
The track elevation is around 600' and temps were in the mid 90s. Winds were gusting to 20 mph but were from the side. I have no idea what the DA was.

I have no idea what the DA is or was? lol
But for the first couple runs we did have a slight head wind, then it turned to the side later in the day.
I also have two switches that I installed under the dash, one turns on the electric fan, the other turns on the aux water pump,
That way when Im sitting in the staging lanes, I can cool off the car without it running.
The best run (third one @ 12.6) I was sitting one car from the burnout area for 45 min while they cleaned oil off the track. I got to start the car, pull right into the burnout area and line up, the temp gauge was only 1/4 of the way up.
The other runs I was able to cool off the car in the staging lanes, but by the time it was my turn, the car was already up to temp even with the fan running.
So...that tells me it runs much better when its cooled off.
I think I may look into a t-stat swap or even a water/alc injection kit to cool off the intake charge.

Re: Renntech SRT-6 1/4 mile times...
Sorry, do not mean to offend, I just do not see the ROI here. With all you have on you car you have spent I would have to guess at least $4,000 > and your 1/4 compared to mine last week are 3/4 of sec better (I ran 13.5, @ 105) and 3 miles faster, and my SRT-6 completely stock, with 20k miles on it. Now I say this, but I know in time I will do the same damn thing, and more, but I would think there is more bang for the buck somewhere! Question what will this do if you paid for extended warranty, is this voided with the Renntech solution?

3/4 of a second in the 1/4 mile is HUGE, it could be a difference of loosing to a Corvette or beating them, which I happen to do on Sunday!
Re: Renntech SRT-6 1/4 mile times...
Going fast is expensive. The faster you go, the more stuff breaks. I like speed of the car now. It's very drivable in town, but can go when I want it to. I don't have to worry about anything breaking, which is worth something for sure. I have over 100k dollars in my truck and can outrun damn near anything on the road, as long as it is street legal. The downside? I can't even begin to get into the throttle below 45 mph, it's pointless. If someone wants to race me in town, I avoid it. Should I actually hook a little bit I will run over whatever is in front of me in a matter of seconds. This isn't fun and is very dangerous. In the crossfire I can play stoplight to stoplight.
Everything is a tradeoff. I wish more stuff was available, but at the same time, it keeps me from spending more money on it.

Re: Renntech SRT-6 1/4 mile times...
To be sure, it is a HUGE difference, matter of fact it is funny that you say that because last week my best times were lost to a Corvette, but we were dead even from start through 1/8 mile, he started to over take me at 1,000 ft. His time was 12.7 @112.6 mph compared to my 13.5 @ 105 mph. So, your point here is well taken, but not what I was really speaking too.
