'05 SRT boost level? Need more boost!!
Hey XF'ers,
I'm new to the Crossfire as of my purchase last week. The power is nice but, I'm use to more, what is the stock boost pressure, and does anyone make different pulleys to up it?
Thank you
Pete

Re: 05 SRT boost level? Need more boost!!
Thank you,
I will look into them. Has anyone changed out the pulley and to what pressure/bar? Does anyone have Dyno results and how did the ECU handle the change, heck if I'm asking has anyone found the answer as to what the factory warranty will do with aftermarket boost?
Have an awesome weekend.

Re: 05 SRT boost level? Need more boost!!
I've been reading the forums for almost a month now. I've done many searches, but I can't seem to find anyone that has actually changed out their pulley/s.
Am I wrong, has someone done it yet?
As soon as I get my SRT6 that's on order, I'll sell my SRT4 and use some of the money to mod the SRT6.
Maybe I'll have to take the chance and be the first one to spend the $,2850 or so that the pulleys/ECU upgrade kits cost.

Re: 05 SRT boost level? Need more boost!!
With the reading/research I've done, there are companies out there that make pulley kits.
Their kits seem to be changing out all the pulleys but the supercharger pulley. They still get more boost by making the crank pulley bigger.
I believe that the supercharger pulley is special and is clutch activated like an A/C system is. So...that would mean the ECU is controlling it, probably kicking it off for better mpg when its not needed.
The companies also have "kits" which have pulleys and ECU upgrades in them. Just stand alone pulleys seem to be adding 15-30 hp while the kits with ECU upgrades add more like 50 hp.
I know I'm looking to add 50 hp if I can.

SG...thanks for the info!
How do you like it? Do you think it was worth the $3k?
I know they claim 45 hp or so, but Im wondering, did you actually dyno your car before and after to verify its a true 45 hp?
Im coming from a dyno proven 400 hp SRT-4 that I just sold, and Im looking to add some hp to my new SRT-6, but before I spend the 3k it would be nice to hear from others saying its well worth it.
Im going to start making phone calls this week about getting a pulley/reprogram kit...I still need to decide on a company to go with, Renntech's website says $3,495 last time I checked, but if its really 3k I may have to go with them instead of the others.
Thanks for any more info you could provide!

Check out evosport, they are a bit cheaper and always dyno the highest. Stage 1 ($2,890) dynoed at 340 rwhp and stage 2 ($5,490) dynoed at 375 whp.
Stage 1 in a C32 runs high-mid 12's@109-110 ish, Stage 2 runs low-mid 12's@112 ish. Also keep in mind the SRT-6 is about 300 lbs lighter than the C32.
Re: '05 SRT boost level? Need more boost!!
Evosport is also the only one with a solid (read no harmonic balancer) pulley. There have been some reported issues with evosport pulley's. The thread's have been deleted from mbworld.org.
RENNtech will deliver on their promises. They are conservative in their quoted figures.
The Kleeman & RENNtech pulley are the same.
