Roadster VS Convertible/Cabriolet
Roadster VS Convertible/Cabriolet
(Oh brother... here I go opening a can of worms!)
I just discovered this 10 minutes ago, so I'm certainly open to being schooled. That being said, here goes:
A roadster is a convertible but a convertible is not necessarily a roadster. Roadster defines a vehicle that has an open top, two doors, two seats, and is made for sport. A convertible is simply a passenger car that can be driven with or without a roof in place. Cabriolet is just a foreign word for convertible. What the Brits call a DHC (drophead coupe) is a four-seated sports car with two doors, a soft top folding roof and a sloping rear. Note the difference between DHC & roadster on the Jaguar XK150: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_XK150#Gallery
(As the spark of incineration, I'm now stepping away to watch my fire burn at a safe distance!) 😏😉

Re: Roadster VS Convertible/Cabriolet
The search here is abysmal. To many posters here title their thread in idiotic ways: "What ya think about this" or "Problem", if they used a title like YOU did it would be easier.
This is why I edit so many thread titles.
