Default What Is This????

Never noticed it before. Looks like a dipstick type tube, but has nothing in it. Located directly behind the engine at 12 o'clock position. What if anything is supposed to be there?

I believe there should be a cap on there. It looks like the transmission filler tube. Unfortunately the Crossfire did not come with a dipstick.

.

Looks like the 'cap' has been off for quite a while. You MIGHT want to do a service on the transmission. Any gunk or debris in there will not help longevity and might leave you stranded.

Reseal your valve cover breathers and CLEAN up your engine bay while you're working on things . . .

That dipstick is expensive, you can get one from China on eBay for a quarter of that price and free delivery.
It is not worth spending that much on something that is identical to the cheap version as it is only used to measure the amount of oil in the tranny.
