Default Alarm going off while driving

Just got my 05 roadster and was driving down a city street when the alarm went off. This has happened twice. I pull over, turn the car off and hit the lock button and it turns off. What could be making this happen?

Corroded batteries in your alarm siren. Time to replace. It is located under the windshield cowl. Very common problem since the cars are now over 10 years old.

Here is some info on the subject https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...king-pump.html

If I replace the siren will that fix it? Are the batteries part of the overall unit?

Yes, that will fix the problem.
The alarm module has 2 small batteries of its own.
If you have changed the alarm and open it upby using a saw, it probably lookjs like this.

To get to the alarm module, you have to take of the windscreen wipers, than the black cover.
When doing that anyways, also clean the small waterhoses that take down rain water from that area and take out all leafs and other debris.

Good luck

Alwin

Make sure you don't push any of the drain hoses off their nipples when cleaning, if you do, then you are screwed dude
