Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster
Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster
I just received a magazine called "Great American Drives" by Chrysler, it's the June 2005 issue. In it, there is a picture of what they (DCM) are calling a new "Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster". With "check me out" flair thanks to SRT6 wheels, a blaze Red exterior, black windshield surround and silver side louvers and door handles.
I think it's a Roadster with SRT6 wheels and black windshield surround. Has anybody seen one in a dealer...what's the sticker price. I couldn't even find any info on http://www.chrysler.com.

Re: Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster
Hi guys… Thanks for letting me join the conversation. I do have some additional information on the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster Spring Edition. It has been available for order at any DCX dealership since February 4, 2005.
Here are some of the key features on the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster Spring Edition:
-Available with either Automatic or Manual transmission
-Exclusively available with Red Crystal Pearl Coat exterior paint (PRH) and Dark Slate Gray cloth seats
-SRT6 style cast aluminum wheels
-Black windshield surround
-Satin silver door handles & side louvers
If you guys are interested in getting the Crossfire Roadster Spring Edition, your local DaimlerChrysler can assist you in locating this vehicle. By the way, thanks for the pic CrossfireLTD, it helped me out a lot in finding this information for you guys.
Dan Root, now to your question regarding why Blaze Red or Alabaster are not available on the SRT6 models, one of the main reasons why it is not offered is to maintain a exclusivity in the SRT lineup. Although as you can see, the Blaze Red will be offered exclusively on the Crossfire Roadster Spring Edition. One of the themes I noticed in previous threads is Crossfire owners (like yourselves Dan Root and CrossfireLTD) love the fact that not many other people own Crossfires. You guys love the stares you get from other people driving in your Crossfire and the gasp when you tell them it’s a Chrysler. A color as exclusive as the Blaze Red on the Crossfire Roadster Spring Edition or the Classic Yellow on the Crossfire Roadster Limited just furthers that “one-of-a-kind” feel you get in your Crossfire.
If any of you have any other questions, let me know. I’ll be around.
Thanks,
Keerit T.

Re: Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster
If you go to the Chrysler website and do the build and price, you can choose a red standard (non-limited) roadster. It adds $150 for the paint and a $310 special edition group (wheels and door handles). So it would be about $35.5K to $36.5K depending on the transmission. It doesn't say "Spring Edition" or show the SRT6 wheels, but I'm assuming this is what it is. My dealer shows to have one in inventory on their website, but I won't be able to go by there until next week sometime to take a look at it.
Re: Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster
I went to the dealer this weekend for an oil change and got a chance to look at the Spring Edition roadster. I don't really like the looks of it. The black windshield surround looks funny with the rest of the trim being silver and the black fog light plugs really stand out against the red paint. Also, I prefer the standard wheels to the SRT6 wheels, so that didn't do anything for me.
Re: Spring Edition Crossfire Roadster
you mention "Red Crystal Pearl" and then say "Blaze Red" ... are they interchangeable? Blaze Red is a regular color available on coupes and convertibles, AFAIK, and is not limited to this "Spring Edition", which sounds like a Frankenstein: its a base model, painted red, with the Limited's silver louvers/door handles, and SRT wheels.
