Default Part name for cable that snapped

So I have to move my top manually to open and close, well, yesterday when I was putting the top up my girlfriend decided to help on the other side. As we were moving the tonneau I didn’t see that she started to hold it by the flap that folds open and close when the cloth top is moving, Of course it snapped the cable which does the movement and now it is extended all the time. It can still be manually folded but now I have an extra step of crossing to the other side and holding it closed until the tonneau shuts. I’d like to replace this cable...Anyone know what it’s called or should I just go to a local junkyard which has a crossfire and see if I can get that specific cable?

Thank you in advance to anyone that knows!

You might try going to a good bicycle shop with the 2 cable halves and see what they can do.

No problem, just remembered that's what a member did to solve that problem several years back.

Probably you have a solution by now, but I had a similar problem some time back. Here is a link to the thread: Tonneau side flap cable issue

It's called a "tonneau flap cable". Getting hard to find. With all due respect to ala_xfire, I don't know of anyone who has been successful having the cable repaired. Suggest you look here:

or

You can sometimes find the tonneau flap(s) being sold WITH with the cable(s) . . .
