My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
I read a post on Facebook on the Northwest Crossfire Owners Page on May 7th
It read Quote:
"Any of you who are planning to clay bar your car you might want to consider this.
I bought one and it is a lot easier to do than using standard claybars and it is a lot faster.
Just claybared my car tonight and it is smooth as glass"
I bought one of these and claybared my Roadster today with ease and the results were excellent !!
I highly recommend one of these for all of you who want the very best for your Crossfire detailing kit.

re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
Looking back in my photos I came across these.
I took these pics on March 11, 2009 when my good friend and I went up together in my previously owned Coupe
to purchase her Aero Blue Roadster with only 6855 miles at that time.
This is the Roadster I have now.
I bought it from her this past March with only 51000 miles after she had owned it for 9 years
I never imagined when these photos were taken that 9 years later I would be buying this Roadster from her
I enjoyed putting about 7600 miles on my Roadster this summer

re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
This Saturday March 16th I started this thread and it was the day I purchased my 6 speed Roadster from a good friend.
Well I am very fortunate to have another friend who owns a Motor Condo very close to home where I was able to store my Roadster since November
I have driven it a few times over the winter on dry clear days and gone over to the motor condo several times to hang out
I will be bringing it out from storage early next month for another summer of perma-grin
Here is where it has been resting this winter in a 70 degree motor condo with Lee's SRT Roadster, 1971 Road Runner 440 and 1972 Challenger 340

re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
Had my 6 Speed Roadster now for 1 year.
I took it out of winter storage this weekend for an anniversary run.
Drove about 210 miles and got some current pics
Back to Irongate motor condos for 3 more weeks and then I'm bringing it back home to my garage
Looking forward to another year of attending Crossfire events in Arkansas, Michigan and North Carolina plus more local events too.

Re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
On the way home from the Dragon last weekend my odometer turned 66666
I just needed to replace the battery today
I put 1710 miles on it last weekend going down to the Dragon event
and returning home after a fun weekend of driving in groups in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee

Re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
Here in the Midwest most of us unfortunately need to park our Crossfires during the winter
Although I have a heated garage at my house I am fortunate to have a friend and fellow Crossfire owner who has a Motor Condo only 10 minutes from my house.
It is a climate controlled environment kept at 60+ degrees all winter
Last year was my first year storing my Roadster here and it went back again today for the winter months
It is parked along with his 2 SRT's
I drove it 8275 miles this year since the beginning of April.

Photo below is the motor condo before the new lifts were installed a few months ago...

Re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
After 4 months in storage at Irongate Motor Condos I brought it back home today for the summer.
I did take it out a few times over the winter and put about 90 miles on it during the storage season.
My daily driver will stay outside now until next winter.

Re: My Second Crossfire - My 6 Speed Roadster
Got the new Rear tires mounted today
Continental Extreme Contact Sport - 285/35/19
About an inch wider and taller the the OEM size but fit perfectly and give the car a good stance .
No problems with clearance and only 1mph off on my speedometer.
Quiet tires with extreme grip wet or dry.
I’ve been running this size for many years now.
