Default SE Roadsters...

I guess SE Roadsters are worth more than I thought! Here is one on eBay, current bid is $15,500 for an '06 with 18,000 miles!

HEY, I thought the SE was an "07-08" only? I guess maybe they made more of these than I thought. I thought they were fewer in number than SRT Roadsters (I sure SEE less of them than SRTs).

Are you sure someone even bid? Looks like a starting bid.

It shows 2 bids on my screen. But they could be dealer-supplied bids!

With those miles, makes the other one look almost reasonable.

Prices seem to be all over the place.. last month.. mint SRT6 1,800 miles for 15 grand.. on ebay now.. new jersey.. SRT6 90k for 10 grand.. guessing that's Lantana's old engine fixing to end.. not one bid starting at 50 bucks..

I've seen a couple SEs including one for sale new back in 2006, and never understood the attraction. Not to insult any SE owners but all it seems to be is a red base car with SRT6 rims.

Have to totally agree.. espcially with the "not to insult".. After owning my Limited ("04 LOL)..I'd be having to upgrade stereo asap etc.. think I'd have to opt for another Limited ragtop and score SRT6 rims before I laid out the cash they are asking on them.

But on the flip side of the coin.. they are a very small production run and that in itself I'm sure has appeal to some.

I would be very hesitant about buying any car from Jersey or the NYC area right now. A lot of cars were submerged or completely covered in sand. Had the same thing happen in the Gulf Coast after Katrina and Ike. Sakt water and computers do not go well...

Good point but actually I would be hesitant to buy any car any time from a coastal area, there's always salt in the air and things corrode. The same reason most of us don't drive them in winter.

I bought mine in 2006 for $25K new in the wrap. I bought it because it was the most beautiful car I ever saw. My later research in Germany via Internet determined they made 140 SE. I still have it. Not for sale. I later bought SRT6's. ALL Crossfires are rare. The SE the rarest. I am not insulted. I have removed the cosmetic chrome I installed. No damage to car. The wheels are SE not SRT6. Different finish. The transmission is manual. I prefer auto like the SRT6.

When I was hunting (and I looked everywhere) there were low milage LTD Roadsters for $13K. I would have jumped on one but they were all gray and I wanted red, yellow, or black.

Patience paid off though and I couldn't be happier.

My SE has SRT6 wheels that are painted different. My seats were cloth. I acquired and installed salvaged leather seats and wired them for power operation. I kept the original seats. gary

I have ALWAYS wondered how many SE's were made. And based on the 926 SRT Roadsters (considering how many of them I've seen at GTGs) as opposed to how many SE's I've seen..... I'd say 140 sounds believable.

Not sure I want another non SRT Roadster, but I WOULD consider an SE.

Easy to spot. SE's were only painted red, and the sides of the SRT style wheel spokes are painted dark grey, and there are no fog lights.

No insult at all, I agree and I own one. One would have thought with the SE label, it would have had heated seats or fog lights or something that made it an SE.
