Default Dealership delays

Brought my car to dealership Monday for state inspection, trans fluid change, rear brakes and to check BAS as the light kept coming on. They're still waiting for the sensor to come in as they found it's bad. Part is stuck somewhere in Memphis. May be in Monday, maybe not. Meanwhile they gave me a 2012 Patriot as my loaner. Not a bad ride but it's not as much fun as the Crossfire. My car has never been in the dealership for less than three days at a time no matter what the repair. If it wasn't for that my extended warranty would have run out about two months back. Took them three weeks to replace the top.

I've been going through the pain in the A** of getting my drive shaft replaced for 3 weeks now. the warranty company sent the dealership a drive shaft for an automatic the first time and then a few days ago I got a call saying the warranty company had sent a drive shaft from a wrecked car which was in worse condition than the drive shaft that is in my car right now. At the same time I can't complain because I'm only paying $70 for a drive shaft that would cost $1600 to replace.

Out of curiosity, how did you damage your driveshaft?

The carrier bearing went out in the drive shaft and apparently they don't sell replacements.

Got the car back this morning. $831 for rear brakes and rotors, 80,000 mile trans fluid change, NYS inspection and under the major guard warranty replacement of the valve cover gaskets that were leaking and the BAS sensor that was bad. They had the car for nine days but I had their loaner so it was a decent trade off and I probably didn't pay that much more than I would have had I gone to an independent shop.
