Default steering wheel color coming off

From a newbie: Have a '06 red roadster. Has 14k miles and the color is coming off the steering wheel.
Color is kinda off white. Anyone have this problem? Solutions?

I understand it is a common problem, so much so they went with an anthracite (black) wheel in later years.

I had the same problem. I sent my wheel to B&I to have new wood and leather installed. It looks pretty good and only cost $225.00. Look at the thread for "worn steering wheel". There are other companies that offer this service. Woody also has some recommendations for fixing your problem. Try looking for the thread called "steering wheel fix".

Good Luck,
Tom

I had the same problem with my vanilla steering wheel. I hand dyed mine. There's a post on it and pics in the "interior" section on the forum.
