Default Squeaky Trim

Anyone have the squeaky plastic trim around the roll bars. That whole plastic piece behind the seat makes all kinds of creaking noises. If you have the issue did you get it to stop......?

I have an occasional squeak on the passanger side, somewhere near the roll bar.
I don't think I've heard it since the top went down in early spring. Damned if I could
pin point it.

It sounds like its the black plastic that runs across behind the seats . I need to find some tape the manufacturers use to isolate the plastic pieces that rub against each other. Anyone know where to get some, its a tape that has a softer fuzzy side?

Believe it or not I have a softer fuzzy side, I sit on it.

Yes, I've noticed it, especially when driving on rough roads. It's very annoying and embarrassing when you have a new passenger with you.

One cause of the squeek....
Seat back rubbing against the plastic cross member or the fixing of the member creaking....
Simple fix for both... get some dash board/cockpit shine and spray it on the x-member and the seatback, or remove the x-member and spray it on the mounting points....
The spray will lubricate the squeek and it will stop.
