Battery Loss of Charge
Re: Battery Loss of Charge
My wife's 05 Crossfire rear window had fallen out and rain got into the trunk, like an inch. The fog lights parking lights all stay on. I pulled fuses to turn these off. The convertible does not work. The lock/unlock does not electronically work. The battery would not take a charge 24 hrs and barely turned the engine over. Would this security module cause this. Does anyone have any good suggestions. We have removed most of the water and are currently trying to dry it out the rest of the way. I replaced the battery, when I connected the terminals it gave indication of a load i.e. sparks so we are leaving it disconnected except when we need it. All this because Chrysler's crappy rear window falls out and Chrysler will not fix it. Any thoughts would be welcome.
When you know the circuit the problem is on it is partly solved.
Re: Battery Loss of Charge
To find the drain you can use an ampmeter in place of the fuses, this should indicate what circuit has the drain on it. Some fuses will always have a slight drain on them, but you are looking for a larger reading.
