Default How could they miss?

Winding Road magazine had an article in the newest issue, Secondhand Gems: $33,000 Roadsters...well, how could they miss the Chrysler Crossfire?! The S2000, the Viper, the Miata and the 370Z all get mention... I wrote them a nastygram... LOL

Here is a link to the story: Winding Road Magazine | Issue 82

There is little market for Crossfire Items. parts or articles. There are too few Crossfire enthusiasts to generate money or buy magazines. Most if not all the enthusiasts are here on this forum. And we know the value of our cars. Gary

The point was that they were [B]used cars...shouldn't have made a difference...I mean, the Viper just came back on sale, I don't think the S2000 is available new anymore...

S2000 had a 10 year production run of 112K cars, Miata had 807K in 23 years, Viper about 18K cars, 370Z 23K built, so the Crossfire at 83K is in the ballpark.

That's what I'm talking about...I think, if for no other reason, the rarity would make it mentionable...

i think the point is that the Crossfire even in SRT6 trim is not in the $33,000 price point they are bragging about... they mention the Miata as a very cheap alternative but only in passing...

$33,000 will not buy my SRT6 roadster. I love the sound "my SRT6".

I thought it was only 79000? Ok, remember that the mag is a USA Mag and even though the Car had 80K? made, most of them are in Europe, and not here. That is why so few are being spotted. I still find that even though I leave business cards on windows there are only a few of us who really love our cars. To us they will always be gems...have to go sun is out, top is down and the road is calling.

76,047 or 76,048 were produced. Wilma = #76,028 was produced during the last week of production.

Wonder how many of that 76,04X are still on the road? Possibly as many as 85%?
