Default History buffs needed.

Ok, I am a history major. I teach accounting but, the questions still come up about anything doing with History.

Here's one I would like to know. I know through WiKi that the production for all Crossfires was:

2004 35,700
2005 28,000
2006 12,500
2007 just 4805
2008 just 2000

Out of the total crossfires built how many made it to America? 83005 how many came to the USA? And the second question how many were the roadsters? I am really interested in the last 2 years 2007 and 2008.

Ok, pros...do you know these questions?

I am sure you will ahve the answer within the hour....

Good question. From everything I've read, even Chrysler doesn't know the answer as they kept terrible records. Or if they do know, they never released it. I hope I'm wrong.

According to what I heard at the presentation in Detroit, they don't know. Records were not kept up. They know about the SRT's, but not the Limited's and Base's. You would think some bean counter out there from Chrysler would have those numbers...

Funny, They do not have shipment numbers, but they have enough to categorically deny window repair coverage to certain 205 roadsters shipped into certain states to certain owners... but do not know how many they shipped...
Really curious..
(Yes, frustrated and discriminated 2005 roadster owner.)

These numbers don't add up. We know the last Crossfire was 76,047 which came off the line in December of 2007. Yet Wiki shows 83,005 that leaves 6,958 unaccounted for. Of course you can't take Wiki as being accurate.

Hey maybe one of those guys that has an unlimited autocheck account can enter every VIN from the first produced XF to the last? Carfax/Autocheck will read those numbers as production cars. When it says 'does not exist' might be the transfer to another model year. OK, yeah, the guy/gal has to be seriousely bored and dedicated to enter all those VINS but as it sits since chrysler doesn't know maybe a back door approach can work. OK, yes, I know, really far reaching suggestion but thats all I got... Just my $0.02 cents worth (please no flaming).....

Well, they were asked for the info, and as I take it, they were either retired or working somewhere else, but I know they are digging around for us. It was a great presentation about the build history of the cars...

KJ, You have to be real careful when ever you quote anything from WiKi around here. It can get some members panties in a bunch.

Looks like Chrsyler did a little mixing and matching...so if this are pretty true is there more of the 76047 here in north America or Europe? Same style of question...how many roadsters here in North America?

You're an accountant, go and count 'em and then make the total suit what you want.
That's what accountants do these days isn't it?

Accountants are getting getting to rate somewhere with bankers, lawyers and politicians these days.

I'm just joking ............... I think.
