Question Vanilla Interior

My 2005 Roadster has the vanilla interior and the vanilla coloured steering wheel. Lots of cleaning going on.
I see other 2005 roadsters with the same vanilla interior but with a grey or black steering wheel.
Was this an option or something the owner has traded out.

I only think that '08 models with the vanilla interior have the dark slate steering wheel from what I have seen and read.

look into a steering wheel cover. Try wheelskins, very good quality, choice of colors & great feel.

A steering wheel cover is a great idea, but be careful of the color you pick. They will bleed onto the white steering wheel. I wipe mine down with a damp cloth a lot & wash my hands before I touch the steering wheel. Its a bit of trouble, but the white steering wheel looks really good!!!

If anyone is interested in a wood steering wheel, Woodview Automotive Accessories will install wood and new leather to your existing steering wheel for around $250. I plan on trying this next winter.

Dash Kits from WoodView

Good luck,

I called them. They don't have a wheel for our cars. But they can make one for you for $699.00. You have to send your wheel to them. It takes six weeks to finish the job.

Myself, I think I'll pass...

Wood View is now B&I. I sent in my worn Vanilla steering wheel to get it refinished. They didn't have matching leather, so I decided on Black, since the interior is Black and White (Vanilla). Looks pretty good for $225.00. Look at the pics in the "worn steering wheel" thread.

I cleaned my wheel with soap and a soft tooth brush and then treated with Aero 303. No silicone and its staying pretty clean. Be real gentile around the stitching.

Here's a photo of my refinished steering wheel. Not bad for $225.00.
