Default Laundry List of Issues

Hey all,

So I have had my roadster since February.. and have encountered a few problems which I have either been able to resolve myself, or been covered under warranty. However, at this point there are a few issues which are inconsistent.. and as a result of the inconsistency I cannot get the dealer to do anything about it. They have to reproduce the problem in order to diagnose it, and there is no guarantee the car will have the issue when I get there. Let me explain...

First issue: The car makes a "whoosh" noise from the rear exhaust when travelling between 1500 and 2000 RPM's. This happens when I am going around 35-40MPH and also on the freeway between 70 and 75MPH. No idea what this could be, but the issue started after they repaired a gasket leak in the rear differential.

Second issue: The instrument panel (gauge cluster and especially radio lights) flickers sporadically, dimming all the lights and causing a hesistation in power. There have been about three seperate occassions where I will be at a stoplight, and the car will shake, and then shut down completely. After this the Navigation needs to be reprogrammed for some reason, and all the warning lights come on and then flicker off.

Third issue: After my last oil change, I was informed of a leak in the rear main seal. I had in fact asked the dealer to inspect this due to a burning oil smell I had noticed, but they gave me the run around... of course. Now I have it in writing so it's next on my list for the dealer...

Problems which I have been able to or have had resolved:

1. Navigation GPS module failure: Radio replaced under warranty.
2. Rear Differential leak, twice: Repaired under warranty.
3. Ignition Stuck (leaving me stranded at a 7-11): Repaired under warranty.
4. Convertible top not latching: Dealer had no idea how to fix, and claimed this was "normal" but I was able to figure out and adjust this myself.

Any insight on my unresolved issues is much appreciated! The "whoosh" noise is irritating but not unbearble.. however the electrical problem has me a little worried for my own safety if nothing else. As much as I love this car I am starting to wonder if I need to give it up... I have only had it about 7 months. Thanks everyone in advance!

That's what you get for getting a BLACK Crossfire!
On the exhaust problem I wonder if they might have dropped the exhaust to gain access the the rear end and then mounted it in such a way that you now have a leak.

On the electrical shutdown problem it sounds like the Relay Control Module. I have been inside of it and manually energized the relays. Lots can go wrong if they make and break contact even momentarily.

I have the sporadic flickering panel light thing but only when the car is at standstill and I have a big electrical draw with the heater, radio, lights on. I'm pretty sure it's just the voltage regulator doing its thing and protecting the alternator. It goes away as soon as I accelerate and the car has never stalled from it.
