I get the feeling that the XLR is just as hard to mod, cosmetically speaking, as the Crossfire. I rarely see one around here that is anything but bone stock.

I think the prices will be pretty good if past history indicates anything.....we'll have to start hunting one down for 'ya. It'd be good to have you back more often!

I would love to be one of those owners you feel sorry for! Austin Healeys are gorgeous little cars and always among my favorites at any local car show.

I once owned a 1956 MGA with soft top and plastic side curtains. Never really thought of it as a roadster. I honestly never put the top up or side curtains in during the three years I owned the car. L.A. living had some advantages. ;-)

The Crossfire is really a drophead coupe. Kinda like a Rolls only smaller. lol.

There are not alot of body mods available, but I like the body just as it is. I have already done a few performance upgrades through D3 Research & Design, but just like the Xfire they are expensive. I have already spent about $4k thus far that has produced a 75hp gain. Next will be wheels, tires and exhaust (+12-20 more ponies) and then that will end my performance mods, just want to reach the 400hp neighborhood and I will be satisfied. I have been keeping an eye on prices for the SRT6 and Limited Roadsters and if the economy does not get any worse, I will return to the fold.

Mike....I would love to have one also, just the idea of getting caught in a rain storm does not sound like fun. I had a 1974 Triumph Spitfire 1500 in high school given to me by my oldest brother as a graduation present. With all the problems that thn car had, (leaky conv. top, engine issues) it was a blast to drive back then....I wish I still had it.

My window sticker reads "2005 Crossfire Ltd Roadster". So, right or wrong, I own a roadster. And for the record, I miss my 1974 TR6 convertible/roadster/sports car with it's dual Strombergs and Lucas electronics. Just wish I had been smart enough to buy a winter-beater and keep it garaged rather than let the salt rot it away. And now you know why my two 2005s are hibernating each winter.
