Hi I am new to this forum just joint a few days ago. My wife and I always loved and admired the Crossfire roadster from day one! Two weeks ago we saw one for sale sitting at a local dealer. It was an 06 model first registered in July '07 with 7250 miles, stick shift, one owner, sold through the same dealership. We could not belief our eyes when we went back and saw the price reduced with $3000. We bought the car for $12.500! With still 2 years remaining warranty on it!

Talking about a good price!!

Happy New Year and happy cruising!

Pete

Welcome Pete;
I see you're from the midwest. I'm currently going to be a midwesterner for the next three years in Indiana (I was born in Iowa). Hope to see you on some of the runs this Spring/Summer/Fall. The "Tail of the Dragon" run in Tennessee/North Carolina is especially fun. There's one in the Spring and another in the Fall.

Welcome - that's a great deal, even for a base roadster. You bought at the right time -- not a lot of call for convertibles in the winter with a poor economy.

Not sure where you are in the midwest, but check the forum for GTGs. I'm trying to get one going for the spring/summer in SW Mi.

Thank you all for your comments! We live in Peoria Illinois. The black grille looks cool to! I was thinking of adding more chrome but the black on black looks nice !
I was looking for an 60's MGB however when I test drove this Crossfire I forgot all about the MGB!

When you get the time, be sure and access the "Regional Forums - North America - Midwest Form". Within that Forum you will find some specific Threads that apply to X'Fire owners in Illinois. "Valkryderguy" (Valk or Gary for short) is currently organizing some runs/meets in the Chicago area which include some owners from Morton and Carlock. I know that when I drive I-74 to Iowa I pass those towns as well as Peoria. Nothing mandatory here, just some opportunities to get out to meet and drive.

Enjoy; naughteven

I'll do that, but it probably won't be until a Sunday in April after my son's wedding. I grew up in Cedar Rapids Iowa and try to spend a weekend there with Dad and the rest of the Fowler clan whenever I can. My old doubles bridge partner was a F-4 Phantom/F-15 Instructor at Luke in Phoenix, but I've since lost track of him since he left the AF back in the 90's. I also had spent a lot of time in Scouting with another AF Instructor ("Bad Guy" Weapons Systems) who retired and moved to Colorado Springs. We may have some common acquaintences.
