Default Snowing in Louisiana...80 miles from the gulf

We got about 4 inches of snow this morning...a huge amount for us..I got a chance to see the traction control light go on for the first time, but the roadster was ready and we made the rounds in the white stuff.

First measurable snow here in about 18 years...what global warming?

Default Hey Max..don't confuse Cajuns with zeros from New Orleans

Check out what we did after Hurricane Rita..we didn't wait on the feds..we loaded our 4 wheelers or cranked up the Z71 pickups and headed out to help our neighbors. Hell, even Cameron and Holly Beach were repaired before the "knuckleheads" started in New Orleans...

Big difference between "cajun country" and that dump by the Mississippi River, my friend.

Hey, I WAS just kiddin'. I spoke to my buddy in Lafayette after the big one, and he was on his way to New Orleans on a clean-up crew. Didn't make it home for 6 days. And he's the director of Physics at ULALA.

Sometimes I can be a bit insensitive.

I apologize.

We actually got enough snow to cover cars and even the grass! Most snow seen around here in at least 20 years. Something special for those of us that never get to see it. Not used to seeing snowmen around here

Ha ha ha. I hope they did, Blue Bell seems to be the only thing this town is known for having.

I'll bet they were having trouble finding grass until it started melting this morning

No apology needed, Max...I know you were just kidding. We just like to make sure everyone knows that New Orleans doesn't represent our culture. Is your friend at UL a native of Louisiana? I'll bet that he's come down here to Freds in Mamou at least once.

You better keep this snow quiet since it does not fit the Al Gore story line!

Events like this is why we no longer hear fear stories about Global "warming"

Every time Al went to speak at an event, they had a cold spell in the area.

SO.....
Now they call it "Climate Change"

You can't argue with "Climate Change" 'cause no matter what you do, it's gonna!

wow, I can't believe you got snow down there and we didn't. I am a native of the north east and been living in the shreveport area for 7 years. I have never seen more than an inch of snow on the gound here and that was a only once. They were calling for snow here, but I guessed it missed us or was melted by the time I woke up.

Here's one from Houston, TX..
the kids had a blast.. they saw snow for the first time in their lives and they actually even built a snow man.. he's only 3 inches tall but it was a snow man nontheless..

Unfortunealy for the Corssfire, since the wife got the S63... my XFire has been relegated to being outside..
